I kinda knew he was brain dead from the moment he hit that mat. He had that same look that other kid had that died earlier this year from the start. A look that you rarely see if ever unless the situation is dire and honestly I think that last fight he was in having watch that live as well seemed to take A LOT out of Day physically.

Despite all this it is still terrible news to hear almost makes me sick to my stomach. Good looking kid who def didn't need to box. RIP to Patrick Day.

Tragic news. I seriously feel for this guy's family. I have only heard good things about about this kid and I know they all must be hurting very badly. My prayers are with them.

This is why I don’t agree with a lot of fans or the boxing industry and public when they complain about a fighter choosing certain fights throughout their career or fighting a certain kind of style. There is a lot of risk in any combat sport and lingering damages later on, possible serious injury or death. Even the dangers outside of the ring, self imposed or not, for example, Spence, you have to ultimately make every decision that is best for you and your family because tomorrow isn’t promised and anything can happen from day to day. I feel really bad for his family, RIP.

Damn. Condolences to the family. And to Charles Conway. I'm sure a piece of him died with Patrick

May his soul rest in eternal peace 🙏. This sport remains my only guilty pleasure.

Damn, has to do with his weight cut man. Anybody have info on that?

I don’t see how other boxers are able to sustain lifelong careers fighting top notch opponents and be fine.
Well, actually lots of them will be headed for some CTE themselves.

What boxer would want to sign up to fight an opponent who killed his previous opponent?
                  F that.
