I think having Crawford the slight favorite is definitely fair. But when he says clear favorite, are we talking more than 2:1 favorite? Because that would be a bit too much.
Something like Crawford being -135 or -150 favorite seems just about right to me.

What is it about Spence that's got you talking crazy bruv?
I'm laughing hard at your comment about Canelo being the underdog vs. Bivol and the winner or Goku and Bieber!

As far as betting goes it would be no surprise to see Crawford as the favourite. I thought this before the Porter fight. But i dont see how Spence stock has dropped he has just unified world titles and Porter isnt exactly a bum.

So a close decision win in a unified match drops your stock that's some funny sh**!! Dude as many upsets as we've seen there are gonna be a few close fights. Shawn Porter did a hell of a job but still lost. I want to see Spence against Pacquiao and then Crawford next. Danny Garcia is a good fight but I'd prefer another unification fight.

This is ridiculous, I get it if it makes the Odds for Danny Garcia slightly better. He’s matched well against Porter in a close fight.
However...why would it help Terrence Crawford who as talented as he is blowing out guys Porter, Garcia and Thurman would likely also blow out?
At 147 he fought Horn (with debatable win over a surprised Manny). Benavidez JR. With a glossy record over absolute nobodies and cans. And Al Haymon managed Amir Kahn.
Is it Kahn giving Terrence this 147 credibility? Because Danny fought a prime Kahn and TKO’d him in 4.
However when Terrence fought him he was three fights off the most vicious Alvarez KO.
He also had just gone the distance and been knocked down by a very pedestrian Vargas previously KO’d by Garcia.
Against Crawford, Amir was still on his feet and faking the concussive low blow in the 6th.
So outside of Terrence’s eye ball test on skills against lesser comp what evidence do we have that he would be better against Porter, Garcia or Spence? How do we even know he beats the former?
Never even seen an announcement on the change of odds for a fighter. If the fight is made tomorrow I would put my money on Errol based on this oversight.

What "Oddsmaker" is forgetting is that Terence Crawford does not have an opponent the caliber of Shawn Porter to compare performances. And likely never will at this point unless Kavaliauskas takes him life or death somehow. Which I doubt.
This is actually great news. Keep it this way. Because many of us will make some serious BANK if that fight ever happens. All you gotta do is drop a couple of C's on Spence by decision or a (controversial) draw, and you're set for life.

Bad Left Hook Boxing Rankings (Oct. 1, 2019): Errol Spence Jr claims top spot at welterweight
Scott Christ
October 1, 2019:
I had a think on it, and with his win over Shawn Porter to unify two titles this past weekend, I had to bump Spence to No. 1 and drop Terence Crawford to No. 2. I think that’s a compelling hypothetical matchup, might even pick Bud to win it, but it’s just really hard to keep defending Crawford as the top welterweight. It’s not Crawford’s fault, but he’s going to end 2019 having fought a pretty washed Amir Khan and, it appears, Egidijus Kavaliauskas. Other than that, his welterweight résumé is Jeff Horn and Jose Benavidez Jr. It’s not that Spence has some incredible run of his own, but he’s now beaten Kell Brook and Shawn Porter to win titles and dominated otherwise. I just personally can’t see Crawford ranked over Spence at 147 anymore. Top Rank simply can’t make good fights for Crawford at the moment. Spence, meanwhile, has another legit contender lined up next in Danny Garcia. And for what it’s worth, I don’t really get the argument that Porter “exposed” Spence and thus Spence isn’t as good as we thought. Porter brought his best fight to Spence, Spence outlasted him, and he won a really good fight against a determined, relentless opponent. If anything, I think more of Spence now, as he’s shown he can dig in with that sort of fight.
