Everyone needs to watch the fight 1 more time. I didn’t have Porter way ahead heading into the 11th. No one in the theater where I saw the fight had Porter way ahead, and 90% of the theater tonight were beginning fighters with their trainers. We all had the fight almost dead even heading into the 11th. Both fighters have a good account of themselves up to that point. The knockdown and the 12th lost the fight for Porter. But we wouldn’t have argued with a draw either.
I just don’t see what fight people were watching having Porter WAY AHEAD before the knockdown of after the knockdown. I think that is based on emotions and not carefully watching each round to see who was landing the cleaner shots. So you have to watch it again.
In some of those rounds, Spence was catching Porter with cleaner and more accurate shots and some of the rounds Porter was catching Spence with good shots. True, spence hit Porter low several times, pulled his head down, pushed him, etc; but that is on the ref. He has to deduct a point or else the fighter will keep doing it. And a lot of times, Spence hit Porter slow intentionally just to slow down his momentum.
But I did see some rounds were Porter clearly won and the other way around with Spence clearly winning some rounds. And I saw some rounds that were a toss up. I had the fight 115-112 Spence on 2 cards and I can see how a judge could score it for Porter 115-112 too. Only 1 judge scored it 115-112 but he did for Porter, not spence.
If you score the 11th 10-8 for Spence because of the knockdown and give him the 12th, he would have only needed to win 5 other rounds to get a score of 115. I had Spence winning the 3, 5, 8, & 9, & 10. He landing more cleaner and accurate punches. I had Porter winning 1, 2, 4, 6, & the 7th. But even with scoring the rounds this way, a few could have went for Porter or Spence. Again, I believe it boiled down to the 11th & Spence taking the 12th.Last edited by markther; 09-29-2019, 01:15 AM.

Here's a question...where's the outrage about who Crawford is fighting next? Why aren't we hearing Crawford calling out Thurman, Garcia, Porter, Ugas, or any other name brand Welterweight not named pacquiao or Spence????

Ugas is the WBC mandatory
Manny will probably face Mickey Garcia next.
