Klitschko was washed up in that fight. He couldn't even finish off Bryant Jennings in the fight prior.

And Fury had two warm up fights before the Wilder fight that everybody conveniently forgets.

Fury was in better shape against Wilder than he was against Wallin or Schwarz.

Fury peaked against Wilder. He came in there with something to prove to himself and everyone else, and he put in his best performance. Particularly getting up off the mat in that 12th round after Wilder unloaded those bombs on him.

I don't think Fury will ever find that level of motivation again. I think if he fights Wilder again he will get laid out in the first half of the fight and call it a career.

The fact that Wilder and his basic skills landed more shots on Fury than the legendary Wlad should tell you that Wlad was toast and should have retired after calling the Jennings fight one of his toughest tests to date.

Absolute nonsense, you are saying he was in better shape ...but it is based on absolutely nothing. Fury was lighter Vs Wallin than he was Vs Wilder. So that is just guess work that you are doing. Wilder didn't land alot of shots, Wallin landed more. Fury-Wilder was an inactive fight for a lot of the rounds. So if you are basing it on him being more tired Vs Wallin you should consider that.

Fury was clearly better Vs Wlad as he was lighter in terms of weight, in his prime...avoided his shots better. He was lighter on his feet, had more speed etc. You are being deluded. Your whole argument is based on guessing.
You think he was at his best because he was motivated. What kind of nonsense is that?

The Wlad fight was a better performance Vs a better fighter BEFORE he had that horrible lay-off where he did alot of damage to his body in the form of drinking, doing coke and blowing up to where he looked clinically obese ....come on now. He fought Wilder after all those things.

He clearly peaked in the Wlad fight since that was his entire goal to accomplish in life. So you claiming he was more motivated Vs Wilder is complete utter rubbish to make him look better. Fury literally said that beating Wlad was all he ever wanted to do and after that he had no goal anymore and became depressed.

Fury hasn't looked great at all since his comeback. He looked way better just before he fought Wlad: Chisora rematch and Hammer were some of his best performances along with the Wlad fight. Outboxing Wilder doesn't mean alot since others like Szpilka and Ortiz were also doing that....your argument has been destroyed.

This is an astute post. Frankly,I have wondered for quite some time just how much Wilder took from Fury.

They say that certain fighters take or essentially ruin other fighters. This seemed very true with Marvin Hagler and Felix Trinidad, to name but two.

Right after the bell sounded to end the 12th in the Fury/Wilder brawl, I wondered aloud just how much the bout took from Fury's game and ability, going forward. Schwartz may have been just as poor as many stated, hence Fury looked dominant as expected. Wallin however, brought certain other attributes to the table and suddenly, despite Fury's weight, physical appearance and claimed conditioning, people are wondering aloud if Fury has passed his best, or worse, is he a fraction of his former self.

Fury looked gassed early and significantly shaken in the 12th off of a seemingly nothing punch. John Fury himself believes something is very amiss in Tyson's game and is concerned.

I too expect Wilder, should he win his next outing, to finish Fury very quickly, should there be a rematch.....and that expectation is not off of the Wallin bout.
