I just see people mostly wishing it was in a more fight friendly place where they could attend like the UK, NY or Vegas more than Im seeing any tears.

Most of the real critical responses about gay people & etc. are coming from the media like with this story.

On the other hand his comments are just waffle and nonsense, communities fighting for a cause is nothing to do with peoples human rights being breached because of the principles of sharia law. And the you have to respect the law of the land comment, don’t think he’d be saying that about 1980’s South Africa when black people weren’t allowed on the same bus or in the same restrooms as white people.

Why they asking a boxer anyway? You want to ask tough political questions go talk to the politicians.

If it is a double standard it’s not an anti Joshua double standard, it’s just the way of the world.

This is for the heavyweight title of the world and will attract tons of media attention globally.
It’s like when Queen broke the boycott to play gigs in apartheid South Africa in 1984. Part of the reason they got so much criticism was because they were such a massive band. With greater prestige and success comes greater scrutiny.

Because they’re the media. Their first job isn’t to get answers to tough questions it’s to sell and make money.
Getting him to say something that they can put a banner headline on like, Anthony Joshua dismisses death penalty in Saudi Arabia (actual headline in The Sun) sells papers and gets online hits.

As usual Joshua just reading from the script that his professional media handlers provided
This 100% obviously their reluctant to talk about Yemen because Britain and the US are the ones supplying SA with weapons

Is that really the tag line they went with? That's shocking. That paper is tabloid scum anyway.

I think this type of stuff is why the media is giving AJ more sh^t.

Did they have Groves or Callum big upping Saudi Arabia like they are paying AJ to do?

And sh^t man if AJ agreed to big up Saudi Arabia then Eddie picking out the location of not AJ is a willing party in this whole process & not simply a fighter in a bout that just so happens to be in Saudi Arabia.

Yes it is and yes they are.
I think decent, honest, truth seeking investigative journalism accounts for about 2% of all the sensationalist, muck raking, scandalising click bait borrocks that qualifies for journalism now.

The Hearn's and Joshua are missing a major point here .In some articles they are claiming that other fights never got this kind of spotlight on them and then typically Hearn he is saying 'it's the biggest fight in world boxing' so in his mind by saying that it must have the biggest spotlight attached to it ....so what is Hearn saying , I don't think he knows!

Hearn knows Joshua has a very good chance of being hammered again and is going for a cash out and is mindlessly trying to defend this smash and grab.If North Korea had fronted the big money then Hearn would find an excuse to have it there. The middle east is not for big fights and what goes with them it's for a ****** life style that is totally different from ours....as always money talks!
