Comments Thread For: Joshua Vows Not To Make Mistake of "Rushing" The KO of Ruiz

Anthony Joshua insists he will not make the same "little mistake" against Andy Ruiz Jr a second time around after a lack of patience cost him his heavyweight titles. Ruiz stunned the boxing world back in June when he stopped overwhelming favourite Joshua at Madison Square Garden in New York, in the process securing the IBF, WBA, IBO and WBO belts.

More lame cringey metaphors from AJ.

absolutely in denial. He thinks it's one little mistake he made that allowed Ruiz to connect with so many punches through a leaky defence. His goose is already cooked

          Exactly !!!!

That was the very moment the AJ wheels fell off.

Andy's fat head and body will be there for the bashing. Let the ko happen naturally. Don't force it.

But don't be overly cautious like a team protecting a lead. Get after him wisely.

It's in his nature. He did it against Wlad. Same thing with Ruiz. His fight iq isn't the best. But, if he actually listens to his coach this time he'll be fine.

AJ did put Ruiz down, and he did go for the kill and got burned. That is a fact. But the stamina issues and his mindset also played a factor in how the fight played out. If he can fix those aspect, he should win an UD or even a late KO.

If he takes his time he will KO Andy in 7 rounds

Andy was there for the taking and AJ let him off the hook.

I don't get why Andy's fans think Andy is some kind of boxing savant. He's a fat body who hands only seems ''fast'' because the rest of him is so slow.

Wild and wide and not afraid to hit on the back of the head or push down on a guys neck.

Or if he's patient and boring like he was against Parker, he can win an easy UD.

If he becomes more like the Kiltchko brothers sticking a jab followed by a right hand, he'll maintain distance and he'll be champ for years to come. The worry though is his stamina, he doesn't compare to the Kiltchkos in that regard.

In all honesty I see a repeat of the first fight, I'm not sure he'll be able to hold back and he'll get caught again. I like Ruiz, but I don't fancy his chances against Wilder or Fury if he pulls the double upset.
