Promoter of untalented brit fighter who got literally crushed loves that fat fake mexican makes bogus call to save his bum from loss supports this?
Shocker.
The fact that the british crowd erupts when he gets his title back via pity party tells you everything.
Normally people would be ashamed to get the title back this way. Not brits though, as their sorry excuse for champions means they’ll take it any way they can get it.

Man just think if you had replays deontay would have gotten credit for that knockout of fury and would got the win.but maybe one day they'll add video replays for the refs it would make things so much more fair less cheating by the refs

I was there and I was embarrassed at the way it played out.

One the one hand the shot was definitely a bad foul.
However on the other - it was a British referee making the decision to count Edwards out and declare Martinez the winner. It was the British Boxing Board of Control that forbid the use of video assistance. Therefore the decision should not be changed a few minutes later because of video and an upset crowd. You can’t pick and choose which rules to work with based on what’s most popular.

Probably the right decision but arrived at in all the wrong ways.

Yeah, because Hearn would be saying this if Edwards had hit the mexican while he was on the floor, does anyone seriously believe that Edwards would recieve the same ruling as the no name mexican without a promoter, if the tables were turned?

... well: VAR was effective in this case... Sulaiman immediately reversed the decision into a NC, with an immediate rematch... "justice done", but Edwards will get dispatched again anyway...

If the situation was reversed Hearn would’ve climbed unto the ring and delivered the late shot himself and burned the replay cameras. Sulaiman wouldnt have checked them anyways.

I saw Edwards shattered and broken. That last shot wasnt needed in literally every way.
This call doesnt change the fact everyone saw Edwards smashed and the typical setup flair of these cards come to the rescue for the home fighter.

The shot changed nothing about the ending, deduct some points and have edwards quit and be tk’od, everyone saw that happen anyway.

Why the BBBOC refuse the instant replay is ludicrous.Had the Edwards fight been under their ruling this cheat would have flown out the country with the belt.This is a no brainer and they need to wake up.....their stance is embarrassing
