Comments Thread For: Charlie Edwards-Julio Cesar Martinez Changed To No-Contest

O2 Arena, London - Initially, it was ruled that Julio Cesar Martinez (14-1-1, 11 KOs) stopped Charlie Edwards (15-1, 6 KOs) in three rounds to capture the WBC world title. But the fight was later overturned by the World Boxing Council, because of a late blow landed by Martinez while Edwards was already down on the mat.

Martinez was going to win anyway but he was ******. Suleiman just said he will keep his belt

No contest. Edwards gets knocked out in the rematch.

great win for martinez. he and tanaka are now top 2. i would like that fight next, preferably (if they can somehow arrange it) for new year's event.

Damn mexicans been slaughtering the brits lately ... Martinez is the rightful holder of that belt. Edwards will move on to defend his belt against c level fighters, he wont rematch him

Never seen a decision overturned so quickly! Eddie Hearn must of promised Suleiman a wad of cash backstage,... 🤣😂
But it's the correct decision. It was a late hit
