Garcia's stock dropped for me when lost to Spence in the fashion that he did. I expected more from him. He claims to have that Mexican warrior spirit but once he realized Spence was getting him that night he refused to take any risks.

Sign with whomever, but no long term deals. 2 fight deal or 3 max and that's it. Make sure you have a good lawyer to read and re-read the contract!!

This seems like sound advice in the current era of boxing where honesty more fighters should be their own promoters and never sign away their careers anymore than 2 fights at a time to a network or silly little app that won’t be around forever

Mikey gambled against Spence and loss more than a fight. He should go for whatever deal he can get. Especially now that his brand's been diminished.

BTW: Can't blame the PBC, Spence or anyone else because the line of people telling Mikey not to fight Spence was longer than a new iphone sale.

Mikey insisted on the fight ... Therefore only one person can be blamed for the fight and its foregone conclusion.

Interesting how people have "forgotten" that Mikey insisted on the Spence fight because he "saw something" !!

I don't see these great options at 140 for Mikey at DAZN. He could get the winner of Prograis vs Taylor on ANY network as neither fighter is signed to DAZN. Mikey won't be fighting Ramirez anyways and Hooker is likely to move up though not sure why he would fight him now.

The reason to go to DAZN for Mikey would be to secure the bag. He and Hearn confirmed that he got a similar offer to what he made against Spence to fight a MUCH inferior opponent on DAZN. Honestly, if you are getting 7-8M to fight lower level competition, that is extremely hard to turn down.

I would still love to see him fight DSG as that is a fight he can win IMO. That is just a great evenly contested fight. But will he get 7-8M to face DSG on non-PPV? Can that fight happen without it being on PPV? I don't see that happening unless SHO just puts up a big amount since they haven't used up their budget this year.
