Despite all the red flags, all the armchair experts in this forum gave a lot of crap to Jose Ramirez who is in a much better position by staying active and making significantly more money outside of the tournament.

This season has been completely clownshoes, and I don't see a third season happening. Funny, since the WBSS is the only reason I got DAZN

Prograis has no gas tank. Taylor's style is all wrong for him. I would pick Taylor to not just beat him but dominate the second half of the fight barring getting KO'd early which is unlikely at this level of the sport.
He probably has bigger offers now to face easier opponents like Broner, or easier styles for him like Ramirez.
I think the real reason everyone wants out of the WBSS is not because of the payment delays, but because the money scene in boxing has changed a lot since they entered the tournament. DAZN came on the scene and now 2 mil for a fight like Taylor vs Prograis is nothing.
Then again, I thought they got like a 25 million prize for winning it? Or was that just season 1?
In any case, Prograis is probably using this as an excuse to go after lower risk, higher reward options. Pretty disappointing. Taylor will have to be viewed as the #1 guy in the division going forward until someone steps up to fight him. Sounds like no one wants to.
Of course, Prograis is American, Ramirez is American, so the #1 spot will be given to them by Ring or some ****, then they will use that to duck Taylor further and he won't even get a shot until he goes to 147.
Boxing is messed up man. Hopefully if none of these 140 titlists are willing to take the challenge, Loma comes up to 140 and goes straight to Taylor.
