Luis Ortiz and Tyson Fury were the voluntary challengers he faced instead of Whyte.
It's like saying Andy Ruiz ducked Kownacki when he took the Joshua fight. It's not a duck if you fight someone better than the proposed opponent.
Dominic Breazeale was a mandatory, and Whyte became mandatory (temporarily) when he fought and won an eliminator. If Whyte had fought an eliminator earlier (Ortiz, Pulev) or taken the Joshua rematch when it was offered to him, he never would have been in there with Rivas in the first place.
Given Fury's problems out of the ring and his two "fights" prior to Wilder, the match came across as a bit of a strategic cherry pick to me, trying to catch a big name at the right time.
Then of course you have the infamous "I'll make you wait for two years" text message AFTER Whyte agreed to fight Ortiz first. All this fuss for a made to order Eurobum offering you millions to knock him out?

Maybe it's also worth considering that his source was black market and he thought he was getting something else but what he got was "contaminated" with d'bol?!

Whyte problem is he is gassed up probably by UK fans he thinks he has more pull than he actually does turning down final eliminators and title shots all while crying about not getting a title shot

Pretty pathetic if you ask me
pretty, pretty pathetic.
Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying it doesn't look bad, but it's shocking how:
"Has failed a test, awaiting more details, doesn't look good"
goes to "He definitely roided up and had dodgy gloves."

So that's not a "fact" of steroids and loaded gloves.
Whyte needed Anabolic Steroids (Dbol) and potentially loaded gloves and still couldn’t knock Rivas down. Pathetic.
That better?

Wilder would have got the lion's of the money as any travelling champion would, Charles Martin included.
Speaking of Martin, Haymon also got options on Joshua's next two fights, sending over Breazeale and Molina, while Martin got the bag.
Where does B side come into it?
