Right now UK refs are outliers in sketchy practices.

I've always defended UK judges cuz they seem as fair or fairer than the US & other countries despite a lot of cats acting like thats not true, but the refs are a whole other thing & deny reality if it makes you feel better I guess.

Weren't you one of the clowns who said he was going to outbox and KO Whyte and that Whyte was garbage? Whyte totally outboxed him. Rivas put solid pressure on in round 9, got the KD and did little else after that.
Anyone who thinks Rivas won this fight is either delusional, bias or ******. Your pick.
I never once said Rivas won the fight. I said the announcers were ridiculous giving Whyte 10 rounds and that Whyte hit a lot of gloves.

This was a solid win for Whyte. MY scorecard was 117-110. 10-2 Whyte minus a point for the KD. Rivas is a tough cookie but he was very one dimensional in this fight. It was jab, right, jab, right, repeat. Whyte showed a great arsenal & variety of speeds on his punches. I thought he was in complete control except for getting caught i the 9th round. I thought he earned a title shot well before this fight. He is now the mandatory to the WBC but will the scoundrel Suliaman make Wilder the Super dooper champion like they did to Canelo so he wouldn't have to face mandatories? I see this coming because that clown is corrupt. He wants to make sure he gets a piece of the big Wilder fights coming. Fury then Ruiz/AJ winner.

I agree with this. It's more because they are over cautious. Even UK fighters arent given full counts to get off the floor. Fury would have lost against Wilder if that had been in the UK. Ref would have waved it off. Look at Groves/Froch II or Dubois Vs Gorman if you need proof

Looks like Rivas/GYM registered a protest prior to the fight for illegal gloves switch on the Whyte side... GYM spokesman said on RDS that they were notified on Saturday that Whyte would switch to gloves different than what was officially agreed the day before... GYM were not even allowed to check the new gloves prior to the fight... Technicality I know, but still worth mentioning...

A drugged-up bigger man couldn't even drop a tired Rivas.

Change this shameful bout to a No Contest.

Yeah during Dubois/Gorman (I didn’t have a dog in the race, didn’t care who won) I remember yelling “why even give a ten count if he gets up at eight and you waive it off?”

Its embarrassing. He didn't even look that hurt. Worse it stops fighters from US and overseas coming here.

I get that Gorman is a young fighter who could do without being knocked out badly so early in his career. But it's up to his corner to protect him not the referee.

I think a lot of the safety first refereeing stems from the Michael Watson incident. The BBBofC very nearly went under in the fallout.

I find "UK" stoppages as frustrating as most other people do, but it is understandable. You look at Dadashev and wonder how many lives have been saved or permanent damage averted.

It's a tough balance to strike.
