In yet another upset for 2006, WBA super flyweight champion Martin Castillo (30-2, 16KOs) is stopped in ten rounds by Nobuo Nashiro (8-0, 5KOs), who was taking on the champ in only his 8th professional bout, and his first fight of 2006. Apparently, Castillo suffered a bad cut somewhere in the first quarter of the fight, and the cut came from as a result of a punch. [details]

Originally posted by ferocityThats a huge upset, i don't think anybody felt Castillo was going to lose, Asians are tough fighters, nobody has mentioned the rivalry with Mexicans but Asians v. Mexico has a long history between them.
I'll trade anybody fights for this fight.
...Nashiro is japanese, Japanese have a rivalry with just about nobody who isnt korean or chinese. And your comment about "asians being tough fighters" is a definate understatement, The japanese were refining their hand to hand combat skills before the spanish even arrived in "mexico" to take over. No disrespect to mexicans who are easily some of the best boxers in the world. But when it comes to fighting, in all honesty this "rivalry" you speak of is really just Pacman vs Mexico. And hes a pacific islander anyway.Last edited by El Jesus; 07-22-2006, 09:22 AM.

LOL! Trying to teach me a history lesson kid. LOL! Mexicans...we have Aztec blood, indian blood, Aztecs were born and raised as warriors.
You already showed your colors, you're asian, now which kind? Let me guess you're Japanennse. LOL!
I've talked to old boxing fans who are Mexican, and they were around before you were around kid, so your input is not valid. Go read some more boxing books. Or keep making **** up.
Ricardo Lopez and Daniel Zaragoza always came back home with their belts.
Pacquiao v. Mexicans, LOL! That midget is lucky to come along when Morales and Barrea and Marquez are close to their end of their careers. ****en pathetic that Pacquiao calls out Barrera 24/7 yet he is silent when Marquez name comes up.
I can't wait till Morales humble Pacquiao once again along with La Cucaracha.

Originally posted by xcaretAmen... And the thing is, asians dont see it that way, they always call it a rivalry between two countries which of course it aint true.
Xcaret, after reading your post and seeing how you responded to Black Jesus. I notice somthing in my first post.....and i noticed i wasn't talking about Pacquiao or Filipinos, but about asains, so why the **** was black jesus attacking me?
BLACK JESUS, why did you talk about Pacquiao and the Filipinos and Pacquiao v. Mexicans when my first post was of neither Pacquiao or of Filipinos? You got problems man, you're seeing things, stay off the drugs. Say no to drugs.
