... "he's too green", "no rush"...

... but, unfortunately, I can't see many "seasoned" HW fighters willing to face him next or in the near future -- in order for him to gain significant experience... (anyway, Dubois wasn't able to dispatch Kevin Johnson last fall...)

... Gorman cleanly countered Dubois many times, but Gorman holds little punching power...

Don't rush the young lad. Let him harness his skills and keep improving. He has a solid jab and knows how to set up his big right. However, he's still very green and susceptible to left hooks. And has a long way to go.

AJ at this stage of Dubois' career was better and faster, yet after one defeat, despite everything he achieved and unifying twice (something the other two overrated bums never did in this era), they're calling him a hype job. Dubois needs to take his time, there's no point rushing. It's great he had about 75 amateur fight and has had 12 pro fights. He needs to keep improving and fighting different styles. And by 2023, he'll be ready.

The same idiots trying to fast-track him would be the ones calling him a bum when he gets beat.

Wilder fights Ortiz oct then rematch's Fury March/April then winner will have to probably fight winner of Whyte /Rivas.

If Ruiz beats Joshua again i think he will want to rematch Parker but if Joshua wins the rematch maybe he will offer Dubois a shot so get two decent wins maybe against Hughie Fury and perhaps Charles Martin or Brezeale then his made his mark but whatever happens the heavyweight division has become exciting again.

my gut told me he would be too much for Gorman because of his attitude and how he looked in the eyes. he looked like anne wolfe had been training him. she's a tough trainer. I remember one time she said, concerning one of her old fighters who had just been swiftly defeated that she no longer trained, "I knew he was gonna lose at the press conference cause he was all smiling. If I had been training him, he wouldnt be smiling any anything"

the smile is the universal display of weakness. at least the teeth reveal

... read the OP again... it's Dubois himself who is fast-tracking...

He's 21, what does he know? The boy needs guidance.

Like a few other posters have said, there's no need to rush dubois. Just build him slowly over the next 18-24 months. Defend his British title, win European title, beat at least 2-3 other decently ranked fighters before looking for a world title shot.

OK... right... but this thread exists only because he thinks he is able to become world champ at 23 yo...

I didn't see this fight. Who wins between Efe Ajagba and Dubois, if they fought tonight?
