So DAZN wants canelo to fight his two easier opponents...

Good for DAZN. If Canelo is not willing to fight the most interesting opponents (prime GGG years ago, Bivol now, Gvozdyk within the next 12 months, Beterbiev immediately before he ages another day, David Benavidez at 168), then the least DAZN can do is enforce that he has to fight one of the at least semi-interesting opponents, like old GGG or old Kovalev.

That's really as low as the bar should go. Even those nearly 40 year old opponents are quite a low bar to be paying someone 35 million to fight. Canelo is such a diva he has fooled a lot of fans into having extremely low expectations of him, apparently including DAZN, the point is, you really can't go any lower than that. Near 40 year old GGG or Kovalev, that should be the bare minimum quality of opponent. Smith is unproven and looks B-level to me. Andrade is unproven and looks B-level to me. Charlo lost to old Korobov. Billy Joe has limited power and almost lost to Chris Eubank Jr. His rep, like Smith's, is higher than his talent level due to facing Lemieux once Lemieux was way past it at 160 and injured.

The only top prime fighters in the weight range are Bivol, Gvozdyk, and maybe Beterbiev depending how much he hast left. And maybe Benavidez, he has the talent but is unproven as well. But at least his speed and power are for real, unlike Callum Smith who has poor speed, and whose power is IMO overrated.

And the only past prime fighters who were so good in their primes that even near 40, they still pose at least some challenge for prime Canelo, are GGG and Kovalev.

That's it. Those are the only names Canelo should be fighting until his DAZN deal is done. Not Smith, not Andrade, not Charlo, not Zurdo barring a big win at 175.

        I mean, how many choices does 185-190 pound Canelo need? 10? 15? 20? 5 really isn't enough?

        1. Bivol at 175
        2. Gvozdyk at 175
        3. Bivol at 168 if Bivol proves he's still himself at that weight before fighting Canelo in his 2nd fight at 168
        4. Kovalev at 175
        5. GGG at 160
        6. David Benavidez at 168
        7. Benavidez vs Plant winner at 168 for the future

That's 5 opponent options right now, two for the future. If Canelo fights anyone else in his next 7 fights on DAZN, we'll know his claims about chasing legacy were a lie. This isn't like GGG where he couldn't get the fights he wanted. Canelo can fight whoever the ***** he wants, so if he doesn't fight these guys immediately, we'll know it's him, not them, who doesn't want to fight.

What's the obsession with bringing up ggg even when he has nothing to do with the topic? But for the record, Rolls was a cupcake for ggg and its highly unlikely that dazn would approve muguia or another low level guy for him either.
You do know if GGG doesn’t fight Canelo next they want him fighting Munguia??? But it’s GGG! Rolls/Munguia within THREE months is MUST see TV.

What about Wilder or Fury??? Or USYK! Canelo is CLEARLY ducking them! Just like he did Roy Jones Jr. and Hopkins by aging them.

Now we’re talking , lol. You know Oscar and Canelo are trolls. They’re street kids turned wise guys .

Daxn is just trying to generate money off gggs contact cause without canelo ggg is just some old guy who can't draw.
I'm not forgetting anything; it is obvious Canelo is the centrifugal force in this trifecta of power, that is obvious. Whether DAZN made the right decisions regarding how much they paid Canelo and GGG individually, with some hope or expectation of a fight between them remains to be seen, along with which leg of their investments will succeed and which will fall short - also remains to be seen.

Andrade so he can get all four belts and then dump them. Now the IBF is talking about stripping him if he doesn’t fight Sergiy next.
