You are naive to think that relationship is determined only by contracts - that's a first. Secondly - unless I've seen the contract, I'd reserve my opinion about what it outlines. You trust DLH? Good for you. You claim everything he says to be a fact? Even better. Proves even more how high in the clouds you live.

Thirdly - pumpkin, do you really think anyone would invest $350m without having any say in how to maximize the ROI? Do you really think that Canelo (whether it says so in the contract or not) can just pick any fighter he wants and DAZN would salute and say: "Si, senor"? DAZN is not WBC you know.

If the contract is silent on DAZN's ability to control or influence who Canelo may fight, then Canelo may fight all the z-level fighers of this world and be in compliance with the agreement and DAZN has to send him $30m checks every time he fights your grandmother. Do you really think DAZN's business and legal teams wouldn't have thought of that?

It is actually The boss is nicer and can't really mess with you as much as he wants, the pay is higher, but generally...yeah, it is a service contract, where Canelo is the service provider and DAZN is the acquirer of services. For mutual benefit, of course. With all the nuances being different from your contract that you have with MacDonalds, where you must be working, in a nutshell, what Canelo has is a contract for provision of services. He must fight 11 fights exclusively on DAZN's platform. Its called service. Glamorous, fabulous, very lucrative, but yes, a service.
