And when HBO held a meeting in 2013 to make Ward vs Golovkin at 168, Golovkin said yes and Ward said no. Those are facts too.
Three years later, the story was different. Fighters move up or down for big money fights, not to lose money and opportunities. You know this.
Do I think the fight should have happened? yes, it would have been interesting fight at 168. But after 2015, Golovkin didn't want to risk the opportunity to make 100+ millions on his division. Maybe if Ward wasn't so boring he could have had a bigger audience and Golovkin could have fought him.
