I always thought it was a terribly idea for Golovkin, and that I didn't even think it was HIS idea, and pretty much everyone can see that now. Abe was the primary one using Ward's name and I fault him for all that noise. GG himself said it was too much, which I took to mean, they just aren't the same size and it's not an even fight.

It's just ****** that I had to argue with so many idiots on here about this.
There's not even a video. Where's the video? where's the proof Sanchez said this? Are you trying to rewrite history?

Ward offered a fight to Golovkin through email in late 2015, to take place in 2016, when Golovkin was mandatory to fight Cotto or Canelo in late 2015. Lots of millions to be made in the division you are the #1. Why would you move up, change your body and training, when you're about to have the biggest fight of your life at 160? And for much less money?

And when HBO held a meeting in 2013 to make Ward vs Golovkin at 168, Golovkin said yes and Ward said no. Those are facts too.

Three years later, the story was different. Fighters move up or down for big money fights, not to lose money and opportunities. You know this.

Do I think the fight should have happened? yes, it would have been interesting fight at 168. But after 2015, Golovkin didn't want to risk the opportunity to make 100+ millions on his division. Maybe if Ward wasn't so boring he could have had a bigger audience and Golovkin could have fought him.

He conveniently choosing to ignore this. Like I said the only ones maintaining this narrative that OP (who was trolling) falsely made are the GGG haters.

Abel is saying Triple Flop was terrified of Andre. He’s the reason he wouldn’t move up, yet moved up for Rolls. Thanks, Abel, for exposing that bum.
I believe what I actually see not what some GGG hater who calls him triple flop says.
Mr wonderful Andre Ward has been safely retired for years and never did make GGG a serious offer to fight a 168. I think you are a liar and Abel never said GGG was terrified of Ward. If he said that it would be in boxing scene top headlines and it's not there. You GGG haters are so desperate to hate on him you just make sht up. Why would fear of Ward prevent him from moving up???? He could just move up to 168 and not fight Ward, dummy.

wow abel is so salty. Regardless of what really happened, it's really unprofessional to start running your mouth about your former fighters. But then, why am I talking about professionalism here.. Abel's only success is GGG who would've done good under pretty much any coaching.

Being a ex amateur boxer , No boxer fears no man when they go in the ring when your at an elite level. The ones who fear are the management team and the coach if they think their fighter can't win . Todays boxing is not like the days of the best fighting the best all they care about is protecting the Zero and you know who to thank for that
