It's been years that we've been calling for Golovkin to fight Charlo. When HBO Boxing went belly up that was the best chance to get this matchup made but Golovkin still said he had no interest.

Eventually you just accept that GGG doesn't want that smoke and move on.

I still wouldn't mind seeing it now. But obviously if Canelo is negotiating with him that will take priority for Charlo over Lil G.

I certainly expect the next opponent to be of a higher calibre. If that's Charlo then cool beans. I just don't get why people are pushing the GGG fight over the mandatory title shot against the superstar.

This was what it was, a comeback fight against a no hoper. Seen it before and we'll see it again. Not sure what the fuss is about in all honesty.
