The Rolls fight bums me out because I finally got behind the guy, I believe he got robbed against Canelo twice, I admired his back to work ethic, that he'd get a new coach (which shows true dedication to getting better), and we got THIS to look forward to?
If it wasn't for the recent upsets I'd be completely disgusted with the state of this sport.
HBO, Loeffler, and Abel did a great job creating a narrative that still has GGG fans in doubt about circumstances or ''calculations.''

I'm glad GGG built his career around Canelo. That's karma.

It's amazing that in all other fighters and divisions that if fights cant be made, you move to a different division to seek alternatives.

GGG and Loeffler based their ''calculations'' on greed vs glory. GGG could've been fighting at 168 LONG ago with or without Ward. Everybody defended GGG that he didn't need to fight Ward or that Ward was ducking.. Truth is GGG would've still made money at 168 on HBO regardless. HBO matchmaking helped GGG at all costs. Something as simple at Truax being beat by Jacobs to then be a champ at 168... you can't make this stuff up. GGG diehards always made the excuse, ''but GGG isn't a big middleweight, why does he need to move up?'' And HBO Loeffler exploited names off Chavez and Hagler and Bhop. Again, karma

    Fans still don't learn.

... Yes, sure... I remember the time when there were actual talks about GGG to fight Chavez Jr and Froch... Then, Chavez Jr. just left Arum and ran, and Froch retired quickly...

Yeah man, fighters don’t leave Arum...

        Why even bring up Froch?

Look at how you’re contextualizing those names as if GGG was a star with 97K when I said even before these names were mentioned, Loeffler and Abel complained nobody wants to fight that they never moved up to 168...

We know why...because Ward’s name lingered at 168 even before he started going to 175.

That’s not what’s funny doe!! Look at Loeffler here:

Golovkin's promoter, Tom Loeffler of K2 Promotions could not be reached for an immediate comment.

"One thing that we want to stress is that we've agreed to the 168-pound fight for Chavez," said Loeffler in an earlier interview. "But Gennady is a small middleweight and after this fight, he plans to go back down to 160 to prove that he's the best middleweight. But one of the stipulations for this fight with Chavez was to fight at 168."

You can’t make this stuff up!!!

This post is quite humorous. So Saunders, Charlo and Andrade are not worthy opponents but Rolls is? Come on GGG, fight them too, Canelo isn't the only opponent.

... it seems you don't follow too much boxing news...

... here is Froch calling GGG at 172, back in 2015...

So 2015 3G could see punching bags Froch or Chavez at 168 but needed the number 1 (or 2 depending on if floyd retired) P4P to come down to 164?... sounds about right. He wanted to meet floyd and pac at 154 but couldnt do it for cotto, canelo nor lara doe.

How do you talk about fighters not facing the best when you're fighting a guy that nobody ever heard of?

Exactly this! Golovkin losing his ibf title for not honouring the agreement to fight Dev was pure business.

A win against Rolls should not earn golovkin another fight with canelo either. He isn't the A side or in a position to demand anything.

Canelo has said if he gets that wbo title he gets his shot, he should stick by that. Or golovkin needs to get a mandatory ranking.
