Buy Usyk can though! Right now Usyk should be extremely motivated to get back healthy and make his Heavyweight Debut. Wilder been out-boxed and AJ was out-boxed before he was eventually stopped. Usyk is much quicker than Fury and Andy Ruiz and if he carries just enough POP up to Heavyweight then he will indeed be a problem and these guy size differences really don't mean much because none of them really use their size well to begin with

I agree with WARD as far as AJ being "BUILT ALL WRONG" too much BULK and ZERO Flexibility, Poor Reflexes and Coordination especially Defensively

Even if AJ does beat Andy Ruiz in the rematch, his reign still won't last very long after that
Usyk is taller and has a longer reach than Ruiz, so that could be an interesting fight if Usyk looks good in his Heavyweight debut and Ruiz wins his rematch with Joshua. Although, if Ruiz beats Joshua, I'm sure Haymon will want Wilder to be Ruiz's next opponent.

If Joshua beats Ruiz in the rematch, then Joshua-Usyk will probably happen in 2020.

I don't see Ward getting up from the left hook that knocked down Ruiz. I also don't see Ward packing enough power to stop Joshua.

Ruiz is the type of heavyweight who could lose to an Andre Ward. He’s 6-2 with a 74 inch reach. He’s just fat.

If Roy Jones and James Toney could move up to heavyweight and beat John Ruiz, I don’t see why Ward couldn’t do it.

Any chance Ward picks up a Cruiserweight belt now that Usyk has moved up to Heavyweight? Will Ward ever go to Heavyweight? Will he ever come out of retirement at all?

Ward always hints at a comeback. I don't know if he's just messing around or not, but it's getting to the point where a comeback needs to happen now or never.
Just because Ruiz beat AJ doesn't mean Ward can. He wouldn't have a chance. Ward needs to be stronger than his opponent to make his hold and hit infighting work. All the cruiserweight champs are bigger and stronger than Ward and they all beat him. If he returned at 175 then both Bivol and Kovalev beat him today in my opinion. I think Ward is overrated by many. He will never come back in my opinion. Why should he come back and take a chance of getting beat when he is rich and make good money as a commentator.

Andre was a tough, smart fighter. But as someone who watched a lot of his fights, he really struggled to ever separate boxing wise from a guy who was even B level (Miranda Bika and Barrera fights are good examples of this). He was fortunate to always be the home fighter, and as a result got away with some shady tactics, and also won about 90% of the close rounds in his career.

To be fair to him, it was also hard to win clear rounds against Ward, he wasn't the easiest to hit and could muck rounds up; that was almost his best skill to me, in big fights he would leave you with the same feeling after every round - 'man I don't know whose round that was.'

I actually think AJ is soft enough to where if Ward were allowed to fight really dirty, he would have a shot. But I don't know how he would hold up to AJ's power. AJ seems to always have at least one explosive combo per fight, and if he landed that on Ward, I don't think Andre is awake let alone getting up after 10 seconds.

But honestly if Ward fought a lot of guys in neutral settings he would either have quite a few losses and DQs, or would have to completely change his fighting style.
