Comments Thread For: Frank Warren Explains Why a Joshua Shocker Was Evident Before

IT IS DIFFICULT to know where to start when it comes to assessing the heavyweight landscape after the shock outcome in New York between Anthony Joshua and Andy Ruiz jr over the weekend. I think the first thing that should be pointed out in offering up a few thoughts is that I do so with no hidden agenda. I take absolutely no pleasure in seeing a British world champion lose his belts, whatever promotional ties he might have.

I agree with Frank Warren. AJ needs a new trainer. AJ needs Abel Sanchez to learn the secrets of Mexican Style.

Fight Mexican style with Mexican style!

This way all of GGG’s fans that loved the Mexican style gimmick will cross over to AJ and bless him with an added 3.5 million followers!

    WAR DAZN!

I also thought being caught in sparring might have been a thing and then also heard a rumour round the circuit to confirm he was knocked down badly in sparring. Would make a lot of sense why he wasn’t able to recover.

I don’t think AJ was physically hurt in recovery, I think his late replacement camp messed up his rhythm. AJ knew it, his father saw it, and the peer pressure to dip out and postpone. These were no options for AJ.

All it lead was mistakes in the ring. I thought AJ was doing well but he got caught careless.

Parents are important of course, particularly if you depend on their advice, but his father should’ve encouraged him to PROCEED not dip out.

The great Buster Douglas’ mom died before he went to Tokyo. He used motivation and God’s grace to reach the top moment and position to strike Tyson with the legendary sequence.

Mexicant style is dangerous with mighty meaty and back acne but Andy Ruiz opted for American Snickers from Mars which is the best!

The part where Warren talks about AJ not appearing devastated by the loss. Caught my eye as well. Something is not right there! He was way to gracious afterwards. Kind like he knows its over? like Hearn said he seemed relived the presser was off after the fight. Now its back on. AJ looked lost, literally seemed happy it was over. We'll see how bad he wants it.

It’s annoying that frank is right on so many points. He’s blatantly loving this too much

Na, AJ is an Emanuel Stewart project. With Stewart being gone, Jonathan Banks is the closest replica. That’s who I would turn to if I were Team AJ.

wlad came back and if Josh wants to fight til 40 it might be good he lost now to correct his defense. The earlier he sorts it out the better.
Ruiz has been school.early so no wonder he was confident. Wonder if he's as confident of beating wilder or fury?

                    Pathetic excuses.

You thin Ruiz had perfect preparation?
