Nobody will ever convince me Joshua was 100% before this fight. I know what I saw. There was DEFINITELY something wrong with him.
However, this does not excuse his poor performance. If Joshua can't handle the pressure then he's not built for boxing.
I don't know it for a fact, but I'm certain that MOST fighters suffer from some sort of panic or anxiety before the fight. Just imagine, you have to go out there and face a guy who legitimately wants to **** you up in front of millions of people. Even the toughest mfer you know would have his doubts.
All that said, this L has actually made me a Joshua fan. I was on his side before during this whole Wilder drama but that's only because of how delusional those phaggot Wilder groupies were/are (they are celebrating this as if it was Wilder who beat Joshua Lmfao). But I never really cared about him as a fighter.
But now, when AJ is down on his knees having the majority of the fans think he's done, I can't help but root for him. I know that despite all that's happened he can achieve the greatness he's capable of. I love a good underdog story. Let's go AJ!

well well well. Something wasn't right eh? not that ruiz was the best opponent he's ever faced and joshua looked well out of his depth?
tyson has been trying to this for years! the mans a built up hype machine with zero head movement. like ive said for years....he's not a boxer, he's a fighter.

Lennox Lewis couldn't figure out why AJ didn't want to fight in America. It's because he's comfortable being a big fish in a small pond. The UK was watching his fight against Klitschko. The whole world was watching his fight against Ruiz because it was his US debut & it was being held in NY at the Mecca of boxing. If AJ can't handle Wilder confronting him in the ring he really can't handle the pressure of being on the world stage
Anthony Joshua 's father has publicly stated that Joshua suffered a panic attack in his dressing room before the fight, delaying his ring walk. His Father asked Eddie Hearn to call the fight off as Joshua didn't?

( it makes sense: fathers are supposed to be the first to acknowledge these kinds of things... )

It does make sense with his demeanor during the fight and he even looked relieved afterward. If it's true you can't blame Hearn for not stopping it - cancelling the whole event over a panic attack wouldn't fly and many boxers have fought through the same and worse before. It'd be sh**ty of Hearn if it is true though - in the post-fight interview he said there was absolutely no issues with Joshua and it was business as usual. I doubt Joshua would admit to it either; he has too much pride at stake.
Still, even if he did have a panic attack I think Ruiz has his number and would've won that fight regardless.

🙅*♂️ Eddie Hearn has tonight denied multiple rumours that have been put forward as explanations for Anthony Joshua's defeat to Andy Ruiz Jr:
— Michael Benson (@MichaelBensonn)
1⃣ He had a concussion going into the fight
2⃣ He was knocked out in sparring
3⃣ He suffered a pre-fight panic attack
