I’ve said it before on here. We’ve spent a lot of time comparing AJ to Wilder. And Wilder so so technically flawed that it subconsciously had a lot of people under the impression that AJ was this great technician. Yes, he’s technically superior to Wilder. But he’s not exactly difficult to hit. And the notion that he was gonna completely outbox Wilder to the point where Deontay wouldn’t land all night was always ridiculous to me.

That's so true man, and it's a shame. AJ doesn't need that kind of help. It ruins a fighter. He needs a good hard-nosed trained who won't put up with hearn's good-for-the-business BS ... and knows how to get AJ focused on fighting mean and being prepared for various styles.

They have AJ caught up in becoming the celebrity, forgetting that his celebrity exists only because of the boxer. The boxer needs to be a well-trained wrecking machine. That has to come first and foremost.
