AJ is a better boxer than Wilder with big power. AJ handles wilder no problem.

Wilder is making a big mistake not fighting Joshua now

If you take a massive shot from a top heavyweight, you're out.
It's the next category that matters. It's your reaction when you get 'buzzed'. I thought Joshua against Klitschko looked like a guy who hadn't really experienced that before. He showed everyone exactly how ****ed up he was. He did have the smarts to go defensive and get his wits back though.
Wilder was similar against Ortiz. His body language changed completely and he told Ortiz he was in trouble. Again he just about made things scruffy enough to get through the round - though Ortiz really made a mess of trying to finish him.
Both will be better for surviving a knock. I'd be more worried about their chins if they'd never been buzzed.

I agree. Though I think Fury is the only guy that would beat either of them, it’s still a big risk to take and both can be beat. I’m sure they would still fight eventually even if one or both lost, but later this year is the perfect time. No need to wait anymore

Joshua got caught hard by a 40 year old Wlad who hadn’t caught anyone like that in years, and he had a 2 year layoff and came back to go 11 rounds and hold his own.

Originally posted by -Kev- View PostWith AJ's chin, he's eventually going to fight someone who's going to put him down for good. The signs on his chin are all there, 41 year old Wlad put him down pretty hard. Someone else is going to get that victory because Wilder is playing the marinating game. Happens all the time and this is Heavyweight, where one punch can change everything, even when facing a journeyman who seemingly doesn't stand a chance.
There's also a chance that Wilder, having a really great chin but poor boxing skills, can get outboxed himself by someone who's technically better than him and can take his monstrous punches (or can avoid them).
