It's a 60-40 fight for Wilder if I have to be objective. The reason it's not 50-50 is Breazeale has had only 1 fight in 18 months and looked poor in it, while Wilder has been active and fought better opposition. He also looks to be in average shape for this fight, I mean if this is the best shape of his life he should seriously consider another career. Wilder on the other hand is taking this fight very seriously, he's been training hard and it shows.
That said, Breazeale has a height and reach advantage, he's got underrated power, pretty good chin, plenty of heart and decent skills. He will pressure Wilder and turn this fight into a brawl and a war. Wilder is much faster and agile and can throw punches from weird angles but his power is overrated. Breazeale has a better chin than anyone he's fought and will not be KO'ed easily at all. A right hand or a left hook will not be enough, it will take many combinations and systematic punishment to knock him out and make him quit.
I think both will touch the canvas and it will be a test of wills and hearts. Wilder hasn't really been in a war so far and I don't think he will survive one. Both have poor defense but Breazeale is tougher and willing to trade and take shots to land his own while Wilder fights scared against punchers.
I wouldn't be surprised though if it goes the distance and Breazeale gets robbed. Another likely robbery scenario is Wilder hurts Breazeale, starts windmilling (hitting mostly air) and they stop the fight prematurely. So Breazeale has to either KO Wilder, drop him a few times or put on a really dominating performace to win this fight. The odds are against him but I believe he will pull it off.
I think Wilder tastes defeat tonight. A lesson in humility is in order.
