"Lightweight world titlist Richard Commey’s first defense likely will come against former titleholder Ray Beltran in a fight that is close to being finalized and would headline a Top Rank Boxing on ESPN card on June 28 at the Pechanga Resort Casino in Temecula, California, multiple sources with knowledge of the plans told ESPN on Tuesday night. The winner would be in position to make a mandatory defense against the winner of the July 19 eliminator between Teofimo Lopez Jr. and Masayoshi Nakatani later in the year. Beltran’s team had been in talks with Top Rank about a possible fight with junior welterweight titlist Jose Ramirez before the Commey fight came up."

Surely this opens the door for Joshua to challenge Wilder and the WBC have to order it should they both win their upcoming fights. They have set the precedent by ordering Campbell vs Loma
One of the biggest things real boxing fans should start pushing for is that every sanctioning body top 10 rankings reflects the true top 10 of the division, and includes the other champions. Boxing has been set up, IMO intentionally, to con the fans, by making it so none of the top 4 in any division can ever be mandated to fight each other except for rare special exception. It would be like an NFL season where the Patriots and the other top 3 teams each year can never be forced to play each other. Then what's the point of having an NFL season, or an NFL at all?

There should be normal mandatories every year to 18 months, but there should also be mandatory unifications, and its by chance you dont get to pick which one of the other titlists you unify with, if you want to keep the belt. There needs to be constant momentum in any sport for it to be interesting, in this case, always pushing towards 1 champion in every division, undisputed, by mandate if they're not willing to do it voluntarily.

Should be a good fight, Campbell's got a good jab and likes throwing straight combinations.

Because he had to to make a name for himself. Now he's 2x's lineal champ, 140 undisputed, and 147 champ. Back then he was a nobody

Bud's a keen chess player and a dog lover, man. Two things always gonna make like a dude. But yeah - comes across as smart, both in and out of the ring. Ain't so much arrogant I'd call the dude as confident, kinda aloof at times yet can smack talk with the best of em if he has to.

It would be good to see Loma fight in the UK. There's been some good names fight in the Uk over the last few years, which is good for fans who can't always travel abroad :

Loma? Usyk, Wlad, Spence, Crawford, GGG, Inoue, Rigo.
