Bud is playing his hand as he should.

I agree he shoulda tested his value by playing out his contract, but he didn't & he's playing the situation he's in as he should.

And I think Spence is playing his position as he should.

No harm no foul by anyone here.
The difference is Charlo, being the B-side, has left himself flexible where he can go to DAZN to fight the A-side

Crawford, being the B-side, is stuck on ESPN. Errol isn't going to fight on ESPN as the A-side. The fight isn't big enough to do a joint PPV.

That is the plan. Why risk losing to the other top welterweights when you can wait it out, act like youre being ducked while fighting easier competition, then eventually cash out in a massive fight against the best from PBC???
If Crawford signed with PBC right now, are you saying he should have to fight Porter, Danny and Thurman before deserving a shot at Spence? That would be ridiculous.

Thats a more reasonable take on the real issue.

And like I said Bud did himself no favors by not testing his value I don't disagree, but he played his hand business-wise like he played it for w/e reason. And now he's laying in the bed he's made with that decision while playing his hand getting a fight-wise as he should be. No harm no foul.

Just cuz you & I feel Bud made a similar mistake don't mean he shouldn't be playing his hand as is now. If Spence was in Bud's position he should be doing the same thing.

Bud needs this fight to be bigger (and so does Spence for that matter he just gots harder sh^t to do in the meantime) if he wants the biggest payday of his career. And this fight becomes one of the biggest fights to make by Bud calling Spence out every chance he can.

        Boxing works like it works.

He signed before DAZN came around and he had offers from PBC. He tested the market and went with the highest guaranteed offer which was from Top Rank. I can't fault him for that. But he knew the chances of fighting the other fighters were slim so his complaining and whining is falling on deaf ears to me.

And people who say "I don't care about all that just make the fight" are either naive or being disingenuous.

Hee should at least fight one or two of those guys. They would be the best names on crawfish's resume as well

It's sad how crawfish fans are against it though. They are ok with the strategic ducking.

Instead of them mixing it all up, crawfish will wait until someone like spence or thurman establishes themselves as #1, then he will fight one of them in a couple years. It will be the only risky fight he will take, while everyone else will be in multiple high level fights.

Of course, Danny CAN fight on ESPN PPV. Who said otherwise? The issue here is Spence is the one that did much better PPV numbers and rightfully feels he is the A-side. So he isn't going to go to Crawford for the fight. The problem here is it is unclear if Crawford is able to go to FOX or SHO PPV. If it is an exclusive deal with Top Rank AND ESPN, then the fight can only be done via joint PPV...And quite frankly, it isn't big enough for that yet.

I don't believe he was a free agent to have offers from anyone. From my understanding he re-upped early with Bob. Cuz I was one, & maybe the only one this time around, saying that sh^t was ****** cuz even UFC guys are fighting out their contracts now to test their value & Bud, one of the biggest names in the game, isn't.

You see it as complaining. I see it as making the fight bigger & keeping it in the boxing news & even the sports news if possible. And making the fight more likely to happen sooner rather than later. And if Spence was in his situation he'd be doing or should be doing the same sh^t.

Fans complain about dumb sh^t all the time idk if they are being disingenuous or not all the time. I think the majority of fans hate this business of boxing sh^t & don't give a f#ck about it to talk about it in the first place even if it is the reason fights aren't happening. The just wanna see the fights. Most don't give a damn if its on PBC, TR, DAZN or the Home Shopping Network.

I can't fault the people who legit feel that way cuz fans probably shouldn't have to know or care about all this behind the scenes, platform situations, promoter situations, ABC nonsense & other random bs as much as hardcore boxing fans often care about to know how the sausage is made. I mean the reality how the sausage is made in boxing is mfing ******ed & unlike how its made in any other sport.

Why is Spence staying at 147? If there is no interest unless Crawford beats the PBC stable then Spence should move up already and take a risk for once.

Any of us would have done what Craford did in the same situation. Yes, it SUCKS for us as fans because Bob and Al refuse to work together in a way that gives fans the best fights possible.
Earn a few million less, its okay Crawford you get a pass anyone else though... DUCKER!! COWARD!!! Why is this guy refusing to fight the best.

Complete double standard. Now, Amir Khan is the best win Crawford has and more than likely he will carry on fighting past it British fighters with Kell Brook next. On the plus side, least we know Crawford really is ducking Spence.

I’m not opposed to Charlo going to DAZN. But those aren’t remotely the same scenarios. Charlo is a mandatory who will force a fight for the title soon. Crawford doesn’t have that luxury.
