Comments Thread For: Casamayor: Fans In For Surprise; Barthelemy Beats Easter By KO

Rances Barthelemy mostly remained respectful toward Robert Easter Jr. on Thursday. Barthelemy's trainer, former two-division champion Joel Casamayor, offered a much more provocative prediction ahead of their lightweight title fight Saturday night. Casamayor called a knockout victory for Barthelemy, who's about a 4-1 underdog against the former IBF lightweight champion.

I'm surprised at Barthelemy being a 4-1 dog. In my betting days I would've thrown some down at those odds. I wouldn't be surprised to see him beat Easter but I doubt it would be by KO.

Agree. This feels like a close fight that could go either way to me.

And both these guys fight like they are trying to make it through 36 minutes more than they are trying to win a round. They both lack passion & play it safe too much which isn't gonna make for a fun viewing for fans I don't think.

Easter has been the distance in his last 5 fights, Rances has been the distance in 5 of his last 6 fights. Odds are this is going the distance. So that -235 on the O10.5 rounds bet is a virtual lock. All you hoping for is these mfers not clanging heads or do some nut shot bs to end it early with a technical decision or DQ.

Either a KO, or Barthelemy gets DQ'd for a low blow.
Seems like the guy either gets warned or gets points deducted every time he fights.
When Casemayor was fighting, he wasn't shy about going low either. I wonder if they train for it? :-)
