What I find the most surprising from these stories is the comments section full of little judges and do-gooders.

First of all, this is boxing. Oh, boo hoo, a boxer, who literally fights to make a living, gets into a few fights in the streets. All hell breaks loose in the comments section, thug, grow up, bad for boxing, etc.

Okay now, you all know boxing doesn't breed scholars and gentlemen right? It breeds people like Edwin Valero (killed his wife), Tony Bellew (bad temper), Mike Tyson (bad temper), Ricardo Mayorga (crazy), Gervonta Davis (street thug), Carlos Monzon (woman beater), Adrien Broner (street thug), Ricky Hatton (coke addict), Avtandil Khurtsidze (street thug/enforcer), more times than not.

Is the way you grew up a good excuse to never grow up and mature? No, but this is boxing. You have to be a completely different person than the average human being to partake in this sport. You're probably a very flawed person to begin with, you probably slept in cars like the Lamont Peterson and Victor Ortiz, you're probably more violent than the average person, you're probably naturally aggressive, and you probably grew up rough.

I'd go on and on but I think it's no use, there's just a bunch do-gooder citizens here who are so much better than these boxers and grew up better.

In short, stop being so sensitive about these boxers lifestyles. Okay we get it, you think they're thugs and live a street life. It's boxing, not tennis or golf. This is not the sport to find the best personalities.

      Excellent post, Kev.

I really don't understand their fake outrage either. It seems like these grown (or not so grown) men care more about gossip outside the ring than boxing inside the ring.

I hardly ever see anyone criticizing Davis' skills, yet they call him all kinds of names for things outside the ring. Really sad little men.

I may be the biggest Davis fan on here but I could care less about his personal life. It's his life.

Green K for your smart post.

The kid is young and hopefully someone who cares about him sets him straight. He has plenty of talent and it would be a shame if it is wasted.

meh, im fine with that. he needs to move to russia and check his fists outside as many tiems as he wants. if cops arrive, they will just cheer for a black guy, not knowing who he is. but literally, I feel him and was in way worse situations. nothing happens if you fight outside in ukr/rus. back in US, different story.

            just don't duck Loma ))
