Comments Thread For: Espinoza: Wilder-Fury II Was Close, Not Best Time For New Deal

New York - Last week, heavyweight contender Tyson Fury (27-0-1, 19 KO's) made big headlines. In a surprising move, Fury signed a co-promotional deal with Top Rank. It was a surprising move because by all accounts Fury and WBC world champion Deontay Wilder (40-0-1, 39 KO's) were nearly set to face each other for a second time after their controversial first fight.

Its ironic he mentions "business people" getting in the way of fights, when he himself is one of these people.

I don't like Fury anymore.. he realized in the 12rd what he was playing with.. his life. He will never go to combat against Wilder again.

What fight (that a fighter has truly wanted) did Espinoza get in the way of exactly?

You must provide evidence to back your claims.

I think fury is smart to avoid the rematch. He’s not scared. He already fought Klitschko when he was king, and now Wilder when Joshua didn’t want to fight wilder. Wilder made money fighting chumps until recently. Joshua has done the same. Fury has taken the biggest risks up to this point of the three. Now it’s his turn to make some money fighting a few chumps. They all will cross paths in the future.

Fury is just conceding that Wilder is the better fighter right now. All good...

Lost all respect for Fury and his camp after this DUCK move...Guess after he got hit upside his head in the 12th it made him rethink that rematch

Espinoza must be reeling after all the news lately especially with Wilder mentioning he is free to fight on any platform. Showtime looks like could follow HBO out of boxing if he's not careful.

Pretty sure going say Krusher/Stevenson even though hbo had chance to match offer to Stevenson and refused to not to mention purse bids Kathy fought to get only to pull out when hbo wasn’t going back her in it

Any fight between a PBC, Top Rank, Golden Boy, fighter. Its ultimately the networks that stop the fights from happening. He should be the last person to call out others over it.
