Sounds like he's trying to excuse his loss by insinuating that Kovalev would get the decision because he's the favorite. Alvarez didn't continue to harp on that sentiment but that was clearly an excuse.....Seems that what "actually happened" in a fight, or after a fight is commonly replaced with selective memory.

In the rematch, I figured Alvarez would be more confident and try to mow Sergey down, to no avail. Sergey was tentative all night, his legs looked a bit shot and he was clearly trying to land shots just to win rounds, not to hurt Alvarez as he does all of his opponents.
It just seemed like both guys were off and it showed. Whatever Kovalev did Saturday night, needs to be done with a bit more mustard from here on out. He was a sitting duck on Saturday and I didn't like it at all.
Hats off for the win though.
