You could just see him severely out thinking Wilder, and Wilder wasn't picking up on what happened.

There was a round, I forget which one, where Wilder blocked a right hand up stairs with his left. Next time Fury attacked, he threw a right hand to the body. I told the people watching with me, how Fury just did that to get Wilder to bring down his guard a bit so he could slot that right hand in over the top of it.

Fury was smart, he didn't do it right away, he waited a bit, and then slotted it right in. He fought a really textbook, smart fight.

Had that been Floyd, many of the people who thought Wilder did anything in the fight, would be praising Tyson Fury for the masterclass he put on.

Ill be honest, I knew he was a spoiler that could move, but I haven't really followed his career, and I was in the camp that Wlad beat himself, and that Tyson Fury got lucky that night.

I was wrong, a lot of us were wrong. Tyson Fury is an incredibly intelligent, boxer with a remarkably complete skillset.

He really made Wilder look like an Amateur, and not a good one.

    Well said.

And let's be honest: if it were Floyd, he would've never taken the fight. This was Wilder's fight to lose. And a half-recovered GIANT put on a masterclass Boxing clinic against him.

How many fights did we see Floyd in where he was in 100% control, could have pushed for a stoppage if he wanted too, could have done more, but didn't.

Boxing isn't about could you have done more. Fury was smart enough to do what he needed too, so he would have the energy reserves in the later rounds to do something like get up from the monstrous knockdown.

And yes Fury fought a slow spoiling fight, but he also caught wilder with many head snapping 1-2 combinations right down the middle.

The only real punch Wilder landed all night were the ones that put Fury down.
Floyd normally did more clean punching than Fury did with right hand leads for example from range that landed clean and clear as day.

I would dispute many head snapping punches, he did at times and in certain rounds did it enough to win those clearly. They were just few and far between with a lot of rounds rounds where ineffective aggression could be a deciding factor especially early on.

No risk no reward though, he needed to take a few more risks and it would have been clear he didn't which leaves it a lot murkier.

Fury definitely boxed better, made Wilder look bad. The fight I would compare it to is Froch-Dirrell where one guy did a bit but the other guy pressed the action but the guy that had the advantages didn't really press them and thus didn't get a result they could have had they just done a little bit more with what was available.

So like I said a draw was fair, but if someone has Fury winning that is fine I get it.

Dude, i'm kinda well off. Have you ever seen Dinner with Shmucks? We rich guys actually do stuff like that. The winner doesn't have to pay for dinner or vacation or whatever.... I wish I knew you guys in real life. I'd win both times.

Seriously, just feeding you guys alcohol and allowing you to talk... it would be amazing. Kinda like human pets.

Yes both fought like true champions. Wilder though only chance was to land a Hail Mary punch and he did. That’s why Fury should have tried to get him out of there when he had Wilder weakening. Play with fire too long and you get burned. Fury had enough working for him where I think he could have mounted a more serious offense

              Nice dribbel.

              1) Floyd is 100 pounds lighter and over a foot shorter.... he also hand-picked opponents.

              2) all you guys arguing that it was close can't ever name the rounds you gave to Wilder other than the (closely contested) 9th and 12th. So let's hear it.... how did Wilder - assuming the 9th and 12th were 10-8 and not 10-10 rounds - score anything better than a 116-110 loss? Stop talking in circles and tell us what OTHER rounds he won, and how!

What does point one have to do with anything.

1-5 are all close rounds and i believed I have said early rounds several times. They were like all the same and Fury didn't do that much as Wilder pressed the action. Neither landed much and Wilder was the aggressor that could get him the nod. I think round 8 (could have been 7) was similar in the amount of punches landed and Wilder probably landed the better punches. SO I will go rounds 1 and 3 based on what I said and he edged round 8.

7-5 draw really easy to do.

Wilder was more winded than weakening. He was totally gassed. But both fighters dug deep. One was tired, and the other got up from two hellacious shots. Maybe I might asking too much after the point.

Yup. Grasping for straws, just like we all suspected.
