Pump ur brakes hearns biggest thing was the numbers. How many tickets sold ppv buys all that bull. I think they did good as far as ticket sells and ppv buys together. I’m sure aj is gonna take that wilder fight before he takes a fury fight. I still believe wilder beats aj. I’m ok with the draw by the way but needs to be a rematch

What would be interesting is if the rematch is in the UK and Warren puts it on the same night as AJ's bout in April to piss off Hearn

        Re

It was the heavyweight version of Julio Jr/Martinez

One guy is getting his ears boxed off the first 11 rounds, then he gets the KD in the 12th, and blows the roof off the arena

Julio Jr still judged the loser though.

I watched the show at the theater. Come on AMC...I ordered a pizza. She said chicken and barbecue, pepperoni, etc. I want a pepperoni pizza. Since I'm getting a "pizza" when she asked what soda size, I said large.

I waited a few minutes, then the guy comes up, and tosses a LITTLE rectangular box on the counter ...I thought, huh, is someone's pretzel ready? I got a pizza coming ! He said "pepperoni pizza?". I said, yeah.

THAT little box of nothing was a PIZZA?! You can get that 99 cents, at the local joint!! The large soda was supposed to match the pizza! I wound up with a large cherry coke, and what amounts to a piece of flatbread! I did NOTHING! I was supposed to get smashed tonight, then go back to wellness eating tomorrow!

It shocked me, because you order a large popcorn, and you get a BUCKET!!

        Get another vendor, sheesh!

A highly unusual comment to give credit where deserved

Hats off to Wilder, he gained my respect last night.
WARNING: This comment will be HIGHLY, SUPER-UNUSUALLY RARE TO READ, for whomever takes a little time to do it. I'll explain.

Unlike 99.999% of people who follow boxing or any other sport, I HEREBY ADMIT THAT I AM AND HAVE ALWAYS BEEN BIASED IN FAVOR OF PEOPLE OF MY OWN RACE.

I am a white Caucasian female, and I AM NOT AMERICAN and won't say my nationality because that will just affect me, people here will think that, in addition to rooting for white Caucasian fighters, I also root for people of my country.

Also, I'll have to admit that, being an English speaker and having lots of family in the US, I've lived for years and years in that country. And I've experienced harassment and uncalled-for insults and aggressions from African American people most frequently JUST BECAUSE OF MY SKIN COLOR, specially when walking in downtown, or using public transportation. That's why, I ADMIT IT AS WELL, I HAVE A BIAS AGAINST AFRICAN AMERICAN BOXERS IN GENERAL, most specially the loud-mouthed ones, ******-type ones that remind me of the African American people who used to harass me in the US (both female AND male), as I said before, FOR NO JUSTIFIED REASON OTHER THAN MY SKIN COLOR.

Now, having mentioned all that which as I mentioned I'm sure it has never been mentioned in a comment section over here before, I'll talk about the fight, which I watched in its entirety, very carefully last night, and as I mentioned, where Wilder TOTALLY GAINED MY RESPECT.

I did not do a round by round account of who won each round. Because doing that IMHO spoils the fun of watching the fight. I just quickly did some math in my mind after the end, in fact I DIDN'T EVEN WAIT TO SEE WHAT THE JUDGES DICTATED, I stopped watching the event right after the 12th round ended, and found out about the result JUST NOW, OVER HERE.

This is what I thought, I swear to God:
          1) Fury is a jackass, yes he was the better boxer, no doubt about it, but he clowned too much, didn't attack enough and was dropped like a sack of potatoes by a much smaller guy, twice.
          2) In spite of the above, and again, I DID NOT GO ROUND BY ROUND, JUST QUICKLY DID THE MATH IN MY HEAD, I thought:
Fury won 7 or 8 rounds, despite the two knock downs.
          a) If it was 8, that means he got 116 points, vs. Wilder, 112+2 for the two knockdowns = Fury wins UNDESERVINGLY, 116-114. I also thought NO WAY IN HELL WILL THIS HAPPEN IN THE US, NO WAY! The alien boxer will NEVER EVER dethrone a current US champion on US soil. So I thought THIS WILL NOT HAPPEN, PERIOD.
          b) If it was 7, that means he got 115 points, while Wilder gets 113+2 for the knockdowns, which makes it a 115-115 DRAW. And I thought to myself: That useless ass.hole Fury DOES NOT DESERVE EVEN THE DRAW, but honestly, THAT IS EXACTLY WHAT I SAW, as the fair result.

So I used to naturally super-despise Wilder because of his depressing ******-like speech patterns, behavior, lack of manners and attitude, which reminds me a lot of my experiences living in the US, and I AM NOT GENERALIZING AT ALL, I've met lots of educated, nice, polite, totally unbiased and non-racist African Americans. But sadly, I am yet to know about one of these in boxing, which happens to be my favorite sport God knows why, because I am a very feminine person, don't like violence and I don't even fight myself --only in self-defense, you punch me I immediately punch back--. So I am not a fan of African American boxers in general, due to their attitude, because I have no problem with black people of other nationalities (exept perhaps Cubans, due to their style of fighting mostly, which is in more than 90% of the cases, suoer-boring and defensive).

Bottom line and to finally end this litany, I HAVE RESPECT FOR WILDER NOW. He may talk and act ******, BUT IN THE RING HE IS A COMPLETE PRO, he is 100% serious, he is IN BUSINESS even in front of a much bigger (and very gifted nonetheless) clown. He went there to try and get a KO victory, NO SHENANIGANS NO TRICKS NO CHEATING NO GARBAGE --No Floyd Mayweather Jr. cowardly sissy garbage behaviour like running away and pot-shotting for rounds, pushing and elbowing illegally, and most of all clinching 1,000 times, never ever getting even a warning, how many times did he hug Manny in their fight, the first few rounds, 40, 50, 60 times? AND BY THE SAME TOKEN no Andre Ward freebie "win" by one point in the 1st Kovalev meeting, and, the cherry on the cake, no incredibly fraudulent robbery "win" in their 2nd meeting, where I easily counted 10+ blatant low blows that the sold-out referee never ever even pretended to see. That was the robbery of the century. THAT GRANTED A DISQUALIFICATION for Ward, and an automatic win by Kovalev, yet instead, the sold-out referee and judges pretended it was a knock out, after a flurry of 6+ blatant low blows, plus all the ones he connected in previous rounds, which of course totally debilitated Kovalev???

In light of all the stuff explained before, about those two individuals who are considered "greats" in the sport by Americans, but many if not most of us see them as cheaters and tricksters, OF COURSE I HAD A BIAS AGAINST WILDER, not to mention his personality, as explained before, when watching him in interviews or face-offs.

AGAIN, HATS-OFF TO DEONTAY. Even being an African-American, HE HAS MY TOTAL RESPECT NOW. I will just avoid watching him TALK, and just focus on watching him FIGHT. Because he is a bona fide fighter (and I really, really hope he does not ever change this for the worse, as he gets older), not a cheating trickster like Mayweather jr. and Ward. HE IS FOR REAL, and if he beats Joshua and he retires undefeated, I will be pleased, because he will deserve it. He had a very difficult and very, very gifted fighter in front of him last night, weighing over 40 pounds more than him, and yet HE NEVER USED TRICKS, CHEATING, TRICKERY AND HE ALWAYS MANTAINED HIS COMPOSURE, FOCUS AND PROFESSIONALISM.

A bow to Deontay and best wishes in the future!

This fight reminded me a lot of Pacquiao-Marquez 2.

If Fury would have managed to stay on his feet he would have won.

            The KD's were the difference.

Hats off to Fury, fought a great fight, showed amazing balls getting up off the deck in the 12th and completed an amazing comeback from the dead, despite the draw. He had great hand speed and exceptional head movement last night. He just doesn't land enough impact shots. He needs to sit down on more punches in the rematch. Very close fight, no problem with the draw, I thought Tyson eeked out a decision. But props to both guys for making this fight happen.

I think Deontay needs to put a little weight back on. He came in too light, he almost looked sickly last night at 212. Somewhere around 225 would be ideal. But the fact that he punches that hard at 212 pounds is simply amazing. Huge right hand left hook that dropped Fury. What a 12th round. I'm will definitely pay for the rematch. I'm a fan of both guys.

Fury was nothing but class in the ring after the fight. How can you not love that guy?

Fury was robbed 116-110, Wilder only won rounds 9 & 12

Well it seems Tyson fury has outdone himself and over come the odds yet again I take my hat off to him. Originally I did predict and said on a thread here that if wilder would win it would be on points, but also that I was not going to count fury out as he proved me wrong when he beat Klitschko. I say we have a rematch made between these two or have fury face Joshua..

Wow. Just watched the fight. Fury won 9-3 -or 8-4 so by 2 points with the Knockdowns
Wilder is one of the worse high level boxers I've ever seen. If he didnt have the most powerful right hand in the sport he'd be a journeyman with 20 losses lol...

Another great fight ruined by horrible judges.
115-111 Wilder is a crime. That guy should never work in the sport again.
