Comments Thread For: Luis Ortiz: AJ Should Have Been Ringside - He's Saving Face, Scared

Cuban southpaw Luis Ortiz believes three of the top heavyweights will be at The Staples Center in Los Angeles on Saturday when he fights Travis Kauffman on the undercard of Deontay Wilder's pursuit of his eighth straight knockout in as many WBC title defenses against lineal champion Tyson Fury on Showtime Pay-Per-View (9 p.m ET/ 6 p. ET).

Ortiz needs to shut the **** up. Acting like Wilder's cheerleader now.

How is he really his cheerleader? He lost to Wilder fair and square. He's showing him respect. He feels like OK, I lost to the man and if AJ thinks he's the man, he needs to face the guy that just beat me because I should of been the man.

It's just respect from Ortiz. He knows what's up.

He's fighting the 60th best heavyweight in the world but wants to jump the queue to a 2nd title shot.

This whole promotion seems to be about Anthony Joshua.

Highly unlikely but you never know. Kauffman can box & he does have some pop. He is 229lbs so he took the fight seriously but I believe Ortiz is at another level. Although Ortiz is listed at 39 & could get old overnight. The funny thing is Ortiz put a rematch clause into the contract. It's a 10 round non-title fight so why would he put a rematch clause in? Pre-fight injury? I don't think Ortiz is overlooking him if there is a rematch clause...
