I never really liked Bellew myself but for sure he did take chances and over achieved. Naturally he wasn’t a super talent but he had all the determination in the world, not did similar to Carl Froch albeit Froch was a lower weight and his Chin made the difference. You can’t have a chin that takes some shots he does, and lets face it if David Haye had been as fit as we expected he would’ve walked through him too.

But don’t dis credit the man, there is no shame is giving someone a send off who has put his career into entertaining our sport and it will be interesting to see how many ppv’s They achieved but would think close to half a mil?

        Brilliantly Written Article

This is one of the most intelligent, well written and interesting boxing reports that I've read in a long time.

All that remains about Bellew after his career is (hopefully) over is his big mouth - which made him a millionaire, basically - and the honesty to admit that he is not elite level.

He lost to Cleverly, was crushed by Stevenson, defeated twice Haye who was damaged goods and inactive, was decapitated by Usyk.

And even his first night of glory, against Makabu, was a near-disaster turned into a knockout win.

This aside, the lone "names" Bellew beat were Isaac Chilemba (after a draw in their first fight) and a shot Edison Miranda. Not exactly memorable stuff.

What a bunch of miserable bastards. He just retired after trying everything at his disposal to win. Consider this article a requiem for a boxing career. Pay your respects or **** off.

In the UK anyone can be hyped up.

David price is 1 win away from being a serious contender to take on AJ for the title.

***** whyte beats Lucas browne and is suddenly ther most feared fighter in boxing. According to UK casuals... it's ridiculous ...

Thank you Tris Dixon, what I've been saying for a long time but for whatever reason Bellew gets zero respect here??
