    It saddens me to say this but I am now convinced that Gerry Penalosa's best fights are now in his rearview mirror. He won a close one this time--a fight that could have been a convincing victory had he bandoned what I saw was his tendency to pause (pose?) after delivering combos even in situations that lent him opportunities to continue punching. It was the very same tendency that made him lose by SDs in his world title bids.

    I'm not at all inclined to think that this dog can still learn new tricks.
