Comments Thread For: Rob Brant Details The 'Incredible' Punching Power of Errol Spence

Rob Brant called IBF welterweight champion Errol Spence's punching power "barely human," and, "overkill," as well as "on a different level" in comparison to 160-pound rival Ryota Murata's. During their sparring days at R&R Boxing Gym in Dallas, Texas, Brant once "had the back of my hand bruised from blocking a shot from Errol Spence in 16 ounce gloves."

And yet Bungu said Thurman hit much harder than Spence. Ive never made much sense of these power comparisons. We got Mosley saying Floyd and Canelo hit the same but less than Manny, Allen saying Fury hits harder than Joshua, and Ruddock saying Weaver hit harder than Lewis and Tyson put together. I guess its hard to judge this stuff.

Footage from the work in that gym is worthy of a YouTube channel or some sort of content deal.

Trainers/Gym owners/fighters should think about this potential revenue stream in the future.

I've always found it quite enjoyable watching that sort of content. Just a thought.

I'm curious about that Bundu point. Spence did stop him savagely lol

But I think the point you're raising probably comes down to a difference in context.

It's kind of like the sparring stories/opinions. That interview from SRL that was posted yesterday is a prime example.

Really good idea. I would 100% sub to a channel like that. But I think the fighters wouldnt be down because they wouldnt want to let training secrets out. Although I'm sure theres a way they could do it to avoid all that. Make some calls to gyms and pursue it bro. Great idea. Cant green K you because system says I have to spread the love around.

Make Jermall vs Rob Brant. That'll be good.

Always thought Murata was a hyped job. Nothing against "Bravo" and his recent victory, but title will be short lived. Either of the Charlos will beat him, hands down.

Thanks. I'm just thinking about how tough these guys have it on the business front before a fighter blows up. It seems this would be worthy of exploring. I've always thought it was weird that the various gyms didn't produce their own channels instead of allowing random guys with cameras to get that content lol but I guess at that level boxing doesn't have many "businessmen"
