Now the situation is different, official record shows W, all the belts are with Canelo, he is massive draw, a dream payday for anyone who can get into the ring with him and he is in the driving seat. Sad, but the Diva has won without legitimately winning the fight. That's why boxing is a business, not the sport. I wish GGG could beat Charlo in early 2019 and become Canelos mandatory for WBC in May. GGG is a perfect example how politics and corruption messes up someone's career. 118-110 my a$$.

GGG is a perfect example how shocking decisions and poor opponent selection messes up someones career

it is telling that people think his entire career hinged on one fight with Canelo..... and NO, he clearly lost the rematch

      hey.....

that RIDICULOUS conversation we had awhile back.....

when you insisted that Hearn and Poshua were making genuine efforts to make a fight with Wilder lol...

this is what Hearn said yesterday...

" “At the moment I think a split of 65-35 in AJ’s favour is fair "

if Hearn believes that " a split of 65-35 in AJ’s favour is fair "...

then the 15mil offer that you INSISTED was fair..... was obviously not fair... or even close

you INSISTED that Hearn had made every effort to genuinely make that fight..... despite the fact that Hearn admitted that he had not

      just saying

that really was a DUMB conversation man lol

Canelo does not need GGG - people just don't care that much for that long - the trilogy will happen essentially only if and when Canelo / GBP decide they want it - Loeffler chasing that **** will not make one iota of difference.

EDIT: If that is the angle they want to take though, Loeffler should be trying to get Jermall in the ring... it won't make the Canelo fight happen, but it might help get public opinion onside.

when has Team Bullshlt EVER done anything like that ?

        name one time ?

This bs he's talking right here is f#cking ****** doe & Tommy L shoulda rethought this statement before he said it.

Tommy L has been talking bollocks for the entirety of Golovkin's career

Canelo's money is practically in his pocket and has many options, while ggg has to decide whether to cash out or go for his legacy regardless of money. And his cash out fights seem to be getting further away. If ggg really cares about his legacy he should fight Charlo or the winner of Jacobs vs Derevyanchenko. Loeffler is nuts, ggg is in a difficult spot.

I agree on all of this.

I think Tom realizes Golovkin really has very limited leverage with Canelo. Basically his only weapon, and it isn't a very strong one, is to play up the public thinks he should have won. It isn't very strong because even if you believe that more people thought he won that sentiment isn't very strong unlike the first fight. Just about everyone thought it was a very close fight. Since last fight was the rematch too, the let's do it again sentiment isn't as strong.

With Canelo's deal with DAZN the money appeal has also lost most if not all its luster. I'm sure a Golovkin-Canelo 3 fight would be the most lucrative fight (I'm sure there are incentives) for Canelo but not like before.

Golovkin can still make very good money but if he wants to fight Canelo again he is going to be looking at money more in the range of the first fight (maybe worse).

I'm not sure what Golovkin wants to do. I'm not getting the sentiment that he has the same passion, silence is sometimes telling. Does he really still have the eye of the tiger because if he doesn't he should call it quits. There are plenty of opportunities out there but Canelo-GGG 2 pay days are likely over. Murata was a chance to make very good money and that door slammed. He needs to accept now this is how things are.

But that has really worn thin over the years because they haven't lived up to expectations. Canelo is about to make $33M/fight, he could care less if a majority think Golovkin won, because the reality is that it's not unanimous. As long as there are people who think Canelo won, and there are a lot, he's going to be fine with it.

It's team Golovkin that badly need this fight again. Shaming Canelo won't work anymore.
I agree with most of this. The only thing I don't believe is that Golovkin needs the fight either. The man has made millions. He is set for life. Now if he wants to make the most money he can than clearly Canelo is still the guy. That said he isn't going to make the type of money he made in the second fight, probably not even in the first fight.

                  Solid take.

I definitely think things aren't always said cuz someone believes what they are saying, but more to elicit a response. Its so easy & standard just to take everything one says literally from our fan POV, but sometimes we in our own lives say sh^t for other reasons & Tommy L could very well be doing just that with this statement. Could work or could not work to elicit the response he wants, but that doesn't mean his attempt wasn't about eliciting a response or reaction.

The fact that you discredit a boxer by name calling I can’t take your point of view seriously or objective.

See the Kov Ward and GGG Canelo fights as proof
I agree it’s not just USA boxing and boxing in general. I see many corruption going on globally in the UK as well. Sadly all these networks and promoters using their power to ruin the sport. Most are concerned with protecting their cash cows by making sure they get favorable treatment instead of putting on the best fights and have these fights a even playing field.
