Froch beat Groves after 35 if you consider Groves "elite", Rigondeaux hasn't beaten a single elite fighter since turning 35. So again we are back to square one...are you really still elite in the sport beating one or no elite fighters after 35? The answer would be no, you are good, even great, but you are not in your prime and your risks and rewards aren't the same. Again, no disrespect to any of those men but c'mon.
If you're at the top of the division, what are you, if not elite? Now the CHAMPION has to keep racking up wins to be considered elite? Froch was 35 when he beat Kessler, and was no doubt #2 behind Ward at the time. Holyfield won a title in 2000 against Ruiz at 38. Rigondeaux conquered everything around him until Lomachenko. And Golovkins best wins up to Jacobs are all Martinez leftovers (who were high ranked). You're hating hard for the sake of this age excuse, but it's whatever. I really don't care to keep going anymore.

I still think Golovkin should've won both fights but at least we didn't get some ****** azz score this time around and I think that has me feeling alright. The scary thing though is this guy is long in the tooth and very obvious that his decline is heavy and he still goes life or death with the biggest name in the sport. He should his head up high regardless of the loss. Scary to think if these two met at the same age.
Now we doing the OLD excuse???

GGG must have thrown 100 punches in the 12th round - and landed that uppercut that was the cleanest punch of the round. Canelo showed heart but you can tell Canelo had put his energy into those earlier rounds and his legs weren't steady.

I can respect Canelo for fighting the way he did but he got worked again and was hurt at least 3 times in the fight. GGG may have been hurt once by a body shot. F@ck Oscar, Hopkins and all of Golden Girl. Only Canelo can win 1 round vs. Floyd when he was taking a breather and get a draw on one card. That should tell everyone something. This was boxing politics. Canelo got a draw vs. Floyd on one card because a MD loss looks a lot better on a fighters ledger than a UD loss. The only way GGG would beat him was to ko him and that wasn't that easy to do. I mean the kid is 8 years younger and his reflexes are still super sharp.
Go cry to your momma, f@ggot the rightful man won tonight, close fight but no doubts who won.

The difference in the fight was the power. While gg landed some hard shot his shots weren’t hard as Canelos. GGs face told the story of the fight. Every time GG landed a great combo, Canelo came right back. Canelo seemed to land the harder shots to me.

Overall in my book with that GGG vs Nelo rivalry,
Nelo got 2 lil gifts and got caught for PEDs in btw.
I would be pissed off if I was triple.
If you mean it was close enough to go either way so the not losing last year + winning tonight was a gift fair play, but if you are suggesting either fight was a robbery I feel like you aren't giving close rds that could go either way much credit. Both fights had a lot of close rds that put the decision in the margin of error for either guy to win. Virtually everyone of repute & not some nutty faceless internet guy is of the opinion a draw was fair (they usually just got a problem with Byrd's nutty ass scorecard) & tonight was close enough that another draw or a decision for either guy was reasonable.

Can't call it a bad decision when thats the reality. Well you can obviously, but its not what reasonable minds who know how boxing scoring works are saying.

This is actually sad. You would think that Alvarez was Mayweather with the level of excuses in here lol. It was a close fight that could have gone either way, but it's easy to see why Alvarez got it.
