No one ought to complain about this fight really. Usyk has just beat the best competition in division in the past 14 months. He'd be forgiven for taking the rest of the year off to assess him option. The fact he's getting back in so quickly, in a fight that's bound to be entertaining is fair enough.

I personally think Usyk will KO Bellew.

Yes and thats why Usyk agreed to this date because Loma´s father is available. Loma returns only on December 8th.

Now keep in mind, the Brits pay like 25 bucks per a PPV, which is why PPV gates in the UK will never touch PPV gates in the US, so it does somewhat even out at the end of the day.

This is a great fight, but more of a regular television one.
But the person arguing my point is british... he lives in the very market that dictates its a PPV fight.

There is simply no way the purses of the two can be reached on a saturday night fight budget from Sky alone or from matchrooms coffers without incurring huge losses.

Hearn is a promoter who's objective is to create as much money for his fighters and by extension himself. Bellew nor Usyk would take the fight without it being PPV. Bellew because of his current market status and earnings potential in the UK, Usyk because he is now a position to command a PPV split or high purse from the british market, especially given his WBSS purses as these would have no doubt been higher than a non PPV sky fight purse.

            I'll tell you.. none.

Because whilst boxnation is still there charging its subscription, warren has moved those fighters, aswell as frampton and warrington over to BT sport PPV.

The GGG / Canelo 2 fight is £16.95.. regardless of whether you have BT sport and boxnation and regardless of your provider. So the first fight was included with all other content for 12 quid... now you pay 12 quid for re-runs.. **** all top fighters and have to spend another 17 for the rematch ? But hearns the only crook.

The warrington / frampton fight, PPV. why? because Frank deems it as such.

Eubank on ITV for the IBO belt, that was PPV .. but its only hearn that's the crook.

You also completely failed to acknbowledge that the buyrates of the cards i mentioned previously proved that the market dictates what is PPV. If the buyrate is there, it goes PPV.. because boxing exists to make money, not to make you happy.

Hearns the bad guy, but feel free to come let me know when frampton vs warrington does more buys than whyte / parker or Haye v Bellew.
I was actually thinking about this earlier. I've never thought BoxNation was worth the money, but now it's not worth anything. All the UK fights are on BT, they don't seem to have big US fights and now PPV.

PPV is getting a bit out of hand as well. I'm not bothered or surprised about Bellew v Usyk, but Parker v Whyte, Eubank Jnr and a few others are not worthy.

The worst ever was surely Bellew v Cleverly 2 as Box Office?

Alright, another good fight coming out, although I find it hard to see Bellew winning, whichever way he fights.

If he's not FOTY then that's bogus. It's the most impressive single calendar year probably since Martinez in 2010.
If Usyk wins, I agree that he' a lock for FOTY. The only scenario in which he could have finished second was if Mikey/Spence was somehow made for December and Mikey somehow pulled out a win. I can't think of any other top guys that could have three legit wins in 2018 except Dogboe (Frampton v Jackson doesn't count IMHO).

If Bellew wins by KO, he would certainly get support for FOTY with Haye/Usyk. Otherwise, probably Wilder (if KOs vs. Ortiz and Fury) or Joshua (if KO vs Povetkin). If Dogboe won a 4th legit fight, he would have an outside chance (especially if he won a unification vs. Danny Roman).

Cracking fight. Frustrating so many fights in U.K. Are becoming ppv at the moment. I hope it has better undercard than Joshua Povetkin because at the moment that is pants.

Honestly though with all these ppv in he U.K. Some are gonna suffer - I can't see warrington frampton or chisora Whyte doing great numbers, particularly going on the same day! The latter can probably be argued if it's a strong enough undercard. Groves smith shouldn't be a ppv either.
Canelo/GGG and fury/wilder shouldn't either given it's in America and middle of the night. I don't think either will turn out that many sales in the U.K. TBH.

Yep, 7th or 8th sounds about right. I don’t blame Bellew for taking this leap of faith. Imagine if he won?.......can’t imagine it?.... neither can i
