Comments Thread For: Miguel Cotto Leans To Canelo To Beat Golovkin in Rematch

Former four division world champion Miguel Cotto believes that Mexican superstar Canelo Alvarez will make the necessary adjustments, to come out with the victory this Saturday when he will face IBO, WBC, WBA middleweight champion Gennady Golovkin in a rematch at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.

Golovkin couldn't land any decent punches in the first, that isn't going to change in the rematch. TOO SLOW. Canelo just needs concentrate on taking away the weak jab (that Golovkin had to shorten and take all power off just to land) and it's in the bag.

      Spot on.

Look for a FASTER Canelo to land in bunches and try to go to the body early.

Canelo by TKO (ref stoppage) or UD with 1+ KD

Do not forget that fighters are never the same after they fight GGG, especially when they go 12 rounds with him. The best example is DJ barely beat little junior middleweight Sulecki.

Interesting I been checking the odds I'm surprised to see GGG is still favored to win by Vegas. I think it's gonna be close whether it goes 12 or there is a k.o. many people are expecting Canelo to fight the perfect fight (throw more, land more and get hit less than last time) thats gonna be a lot to do mentally and physically & could gas his worse than the 1st.
GGG needs to do more of the same as last time but target the body early and not give away early rounds.

Another myth. The fighters were never that good to begin with. Jacobs beat nobody and struggled with Mora ffs.

You see, you don't win rounds only by throwing a combo here and there and run Canelo needs to learn how to fight Mexican style.

                Cotto is smart AF.
Knows when to hold 'em, knows when to fold 'em, and knows who will win Saturday.

It’s not just Jacobs. Go back to Lemieux, to Stevens, to Wade, to Monroe, to Murray, Vanes, Brooks, etc. They’re never the same after they went fight with Golovkin. GGG round 10. Come back here after the fight if you think I’m joking.

None of them were that good. Apart from Brook (a ww) none of them had beat anyone and were B level at best. ****ing joke.
