Eimantas Stanionis displayed skill and poise Friday night while beating up a more experienced opponent. The welterweight prospect picked apart Levan Ghvamichava for eight rounds and convincingly won a unanimous decision at The Armory in Minneapolis, Minnesota. The 24-year-old Stanionis (7-0, 5 KOs), who battered Ghvamichava to the body and head throughout their bout, won by big margins on all three judges' scorecards (80-72, 79-73, 79-73) in a fight broadcast by FS1.

He looks short with a small reach for 147. Also power didn't tell enough over the course of the fight. Somehow increase his power while simultaneously getting him down to 140, and they might really have something. Or, increase his power and accuracy with the right hand so much at 147 that he can overcome the lack of reach (will ALSO be at a speed deficit vs the top guys at 147, so it will be a lot to overcome if he can't develop a one hitter quitter).
