The wraps are very different. That's the bottom line. Whether it's legal or illegal is debatable but the two fighters wrap their hands differently.

I believe that was GGGs 1st fight in Vegas. Nevada's rules on wrapping a fighters hands is different from other states. Robert Garcia has talked about this same issue. Different states allow you to use certain gauze or tape that might not be allowed in another state. Abel might not been aware of that. Garcia says that he wraps his fighters hands according to the state they are fighting in. Abel might be wrapping GGGs hands according to CA and NY regulations, which is different than NV
