    Former middleweight contender Curtis Stevens won by knockout Saturday night, but it was the actions outside the ring afterwards that was more newsworthy. Stevens stopped Carlos Jairo Cruz at the end of the fourth round at the Gimnasio Multiuso Nani Marrero in Santiago de los Caballeros, in the Dominican Republic.

          He unfortunately has no promoter now. Duva dropped him after the lemieux loss. He has been trying to get back in action for a long time now and unfortunately had to take what he could get. I was hoping someone would sign him. Hell Hearn could have used him for dazn at least. I would rather watch him over some others they signed

              He has never made huge money. I mean yes more than the average joe, but in the boxing business, only 25% of a purse a boxer see's. It is just like when people call Floyd a billionaire, he isn't. I guarantee he made that and beyond in purses, but by the time the help, taxman and blood suckers are paid, he would be lucky to be worth 200 million. Someone like Stevens would have got maybe $300,000 vs Lemieux. He would end up with around $75,000 by the time everyone else took their share.

                Man it would take me 5-7 years to see 75k

                  They see the big cheque, and start spending. Boxers (well Most) don't seem to plan for the future. They get a higher income and spend more money.
