    Manny Pacquiao praised Buboy Fernandez for preparing him well for his impressive victory over Lucas Matthysse. Fernandez, Pacquiao's friend since childhood and longtime assistant trainer, took over for Freddie Roach as Pacquiao's head trainer for the Matthysse match. Pacquiao appeared rejuvenated while dropping Matthysse three times and stopping him in the seventh round Sunday to win the WBA world welterweight title in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

    Roach is a bullshіtter. If he doesn't care about money then why had he cried to the press that he still wasn't paid?

    WHERE DID ARTICLE SAY ABOUT MANNY THINKING ABOUT TEAMING UP WITH ROACH? I SEE ROACH DREAMING ABOUT THIS.

          at this point, i would like to see pac with a different trainer. maybe a robert garcia? joel diaz has been showing manny a lot of respect so maybe that's a good fit? i want to see pac with a new trainer that will be able to communicate with manny.

          roach is a good trainer but his health is getting in the way. he cant train and instruct manny on what to do like how he used too.

              No new trainer this late in the game. They will just fuvk up his game.

              Buboy is fine. You can't train an old dog new tricks.

                i want to see pac with a mexican trainer. pac has that aggressive style already which is what mexicans like. now pair that with a trainer that can really show manny on how to delivery it and not be careless in the approach.

                  It's too late. It will mess up his foundation bud. Buboy has been with him since way before Roach ever trained Pac that's why it's fine. He's an old dog. No need for new tricks.

                    the way manny is talking here, it seems like he pretty much trained himself. buboy is there to assist, but it feels like pac is the one in charge of what to work on in training, etc.

                    if this is the case, i would like to see manny with a more reputable trainer. manny's offense is still at 50-60% but his defense is kinda lacking. if he gets with a trainer that will work on his defense and tighten it up, pac can will be a threat in the ww against the top guys. they dont have to change up his style, just tighten his defense up.


                    in this fight with lucas, you can tell he's been working on defense. his guards was up every time lucas would throw a punch but i think this has more to do with fortune as seen in the fight, fortune kept reminding manny to keep his hands up. pac needs to get with a trainer like that. i have never heard roach tell manny to keep his guards up ever.
