Comments Thread For: Khan: Does Kell Brook Really Want The Fight or is He Just a Talker?

Former world champion Amir Khan (32-4, 20 KOs) is gearing up for the second fight of his comeback. Back in April, Khan returned to the ring for the first time in nearly two years. He blew away Phil Lo Greco in 39 seconds of the first round.

This guy is a con job. I'm not sure there'll be any interest in this fight beyond 2018. Its already gone from battle of the best in Brittan to a cross roads fight between 2 broken broader line gatekeepers in the matter of a few years.

Brooke should fight Smith/Charlo/Hurd and Khan should fight Skeete or a similar level domestic opponent before going for the Crawford/Spence/Garcia/Porter pay day.

I'm a Brit and don't have any I'll feeling towards either guy so would say I'm neutral as I always support both when they fight.

However it is clear to me Kel wants the fight and Amir doesn't and it has always been this way.

If Khan beats him or vice versa - how much does it really mean to either?

Yep, the fight has lost all significance. It'll be fun, though.

Definitely, should’ve happened years ago when it was relevant.

Over the years, everything has indicated that Brook wants the fight far more than Khan. Think the last thing I read from Khan about it was that it would “have to happen at 147”. Can’t imagine Kell would want to agree to that having moved to 154. Could see a 150 catch weight being used if it ever happens.

*smh* Kh an overlooking next opponent. If Vargas kos you nobody will want brook v khan.
That might not be true exactly. People will pay to see brook ko khan.
But I'm always rooting for Khan to win

I agree with you’re opinion about Khan, but tbf none of those fights you suggested make sense for either, Khan gets beat decisively by Crawford, Spence or Garcia, and they’re hardly big paydays for him, the same applies for Brook with Charlo or Hurd

They can both make more than £5million fighting each other, and then both retire into the sunset.
