Comments Thread For: Stevenson-Gvozdyk, Rivas-Jennings, Beterbiev-Johnson in Play

Promoter Yvon Michel of GYM is a busy man these days. The Canadian promoter is currently in discussions for several potential showdowns in the near future. Michel has revealed that NABF heavyweight champion Oscar "Kaboom" Rivas (24-0, 17 KOs) has received an offer to face former world title challenger Bryant Jennings (23-2, 13 KOs), ranked #8 by the WBO and #13 by the WBA.

Stevenson-Gvozdyk : Can't wait to see how Stevenson is going to perform here

Rivas-Jennings: At this point, Rivas has no choice but to step up to get somewhere

      Beterbiev-Johnson: Beterbiev should win.

        Glad The Nail is getting
his shot first before the “rematch”, that fight was a stinker!

All of this is good stuff, kudos. Beterbiev/Johnson is a fun action fight for as long as it lasts. Gvozdyk/Stevenson is a great fight, Gvozdyk wins if he can survive the power from Stevenson for the first 4 rounds or so. I actually love Rivas/Jennings, two shorter HW's that are going to come to slug it out, that's a show-stealer. Hopefully they can make that for 08/18.

If Tommy Karpency put Gvozdyk down, just imagine what Stevenson will do to him! Another easy payday for the pimp...

Finally Stevenson fighting someone good. I still don't think it's any coincidence that out of all the top light heavyweights, Haymon managed to get Stevenson the chinniest one, and the lowest ranked one, Gvozdyk, rather than Beterbiev, Kovalev, or Bivol. But I'm still looking forward to it, I can just see the same old Haymon BS at work.

People saying this guy isn’t a big middle weight, yous don’t know what you’re taking about, he’s not a physically imposing mw but it’s already been documented that he had weight problems..tell me what undefeated champion moves up in weight when he hasnt fought any if the big names in the current division not one money fight, and now this guy gonna move up in weight for a fight that’s less money then with the other mw champs.. nah you brits are tripping again and he overachieved against lemuex

Interesting. First two are GYM fighters vs. Top Rank fighters. Last one is a GYM fighter that last fought for Top Rank.
