just look at horn, after beating pac, every article you read on horn will mention that he beat manny. loma right now is at the stage of his career where he's about to break into becoming a star worldwide. he needs a high profile fight and manny is perfect for it. if pac looks bad against lucas, dont be surprise if this fight happens.
True! Horn got a lot of love for a "so-called" victory over Pacquiao! I just think that if Manny loses or looks bad vs. Matthysse, it's hard sell a 40 yr. old man dropping from 147 to 135-138, to fight the ESPN P4P #1 Fighter in the world!

the name bro, the name! lol.

        look at pac vs oscar

pac was on the come up but hasnt completely break out into becoming a star, but once he beat old drained oscar, it took him to the next level because oscar is a household name. nobody care that oscar was over the hill and drained, all they care was how bad manny beat oscar in that fight.

this is what loma needs right now. like i said, a win over pac will do more for him in terms of popularity than him beating mikey garcia.

I think some people read or heard Arum and started rumors! Then there's also this one:

          May 26, 2018:

By Jeff Aranow: Keith ‘One Time’ Thurman is rumored to be on the verge of signing with promoter Eddie Hearn, who recently signed a $1 billion, 8-year streaming deal with DAZN/Perform. Thurman, 29, is training near Tokyo, Japan, which is where Hearn was last Friday for the Jamie McDonnell vs. Naoya Inoue fight. Hearn promotes McDonnell.

Hearn signing a fighter that fights once a year might not be the wisest move on his part if he does ink Thurman. This might be a risky move on Hearn’s part. It’s like an NFL team signing a college football player coming off a knee injury. It’s risky. It might not work out. Will Hearn have to eat Thurman’s contract if turns out he’s a washed-up fighter or can he cut him and walk away after 1 or 2 fights?

On the surface, the main positive that comes from Hearn possibly signing Thurman is he might be able to get some of the other top names in the U.S to sign with his Matchroom Boxing USA stable. If the fighters hear about Hearn inking Thurman, then they might want to sign with him as well. It’s the basic herd mentality. I’m not sure it’ll work in this case, because Thurman is perceived as a fragile, part-time fighter, whose career is on the downside at this point despite him holding the WBA welterweight title.

It is hard to sell Manny? Lol, every version of Manny is bigger star than every other actual 147 fighter..

Lomachenko and Crawford are both candidates to beat Manny. My winner is Loma.

Arum doesn`t want Crawford -pacquiao. I guess Crawford will have to beat Spence and Thurman to become bigger name.

I totally agree! It is all good for Loma! I guess I just don't want to see Manny go out like that! I still remember Ali vs. Holmes! That still hurts! Now if Manny beats down Matthysse, I'm all in!

Mayweather and Pacquiao both became big names with beating old Oscar. That`s how it is. Joshua became a superstar with beating old Klitchko. Mike Tyson with beating old Holmes..

make the fight arum. An aging over the hill pac will still beat crawford.

If he blows him away it will be manny is washed up, if he struggles he’ll be ‘exposed’.

There’s loads of good fights that don’t involve fading ex champs.
Among the fans of the sport what you say I think is largely true. However amongst that mass of humanity known as the PPV buying public, beating a name they recognize means everything.

That said, while Pac is not what he used be, he would be far and away Crawford’s toughest test to date. I’d favor Crawford of course but it’s still a test.

I’m sure that (the app) was fine with him. I think Loma May be featured on the app soon and will likely be on ESPN PPV first. Would you say that’s unfair on Loma then?
Not a chance, Loma is getting more promotion than Bud is, it's simple!

Bob thinks Loma is more marketable than Crawford despite that Bud speaks English, accomplished more in the pro ranks, and has an actual homebase full of fans, ditto Omaha!

Bob just admitted he rather have Pac fight Loma who's a lightweight than Bud who's in the same weight class as Manny!
