Comments Thread For: Frank Warren on Flanagan's Loss, Dubois vs. Gorman, Heffron

During a bloody encounter for the vacant WBO Super Lightweight title with Maurice Hooker on Saturday night, Terry Flanagan suffered five cuts which required 30 stitches. Flangan, the former WBO champion at 135lbs, collided with Hooker on numerous occasions as the southpaw and orthodox fighter butted heads leaving Flangan's face crimson masked.

The build-up had been heated but Gorman looked a level above Turner and took another step to a mouth-watering tussle with hot prospect Daniel Dubois, also promoted by Frank Warren. And while these two look likely to get it on it won't be any time soon.
"I wouldn't do it this year. I wouldn't do it in the next year," he revealed.
Sums Warren up. Not willing to take any risks so his fighters will continue facing cans and some mugs will still lap it up.

Compare that to Hearn who went and put Okolie in with Chamberlain and has another fighter in Buatsi who seems to be desperate to fight Yarde (which won't due to Warren obviously).

Feed him to the pigs Errol!

I can see why Frank wants to keep Dubois and Gorman separate but holding off 2 years is as good as not having the fight at all. Will he even let them fight AJ it Whyte if the opportunity arises?

Lol mate.. you're new here. You'll gradually find out nobody thinks like here when it comes to promoters.. especially ones who are known and proven to have robbed fighters blind and robbed punters blind too.

You'll also find out I couldn't give a **** about your opinions on morals.. humanity or "class".

But feel free to post a rebuttal about how great a human being Frank Warren has proven to be over the years. So much so that someone shot him.

            And missed...sadly.

Just came in to say, this is lame as ****.

The Brits (including Warren in the past) have a good tradition of matching unbeaten prospects early in their careers, and it doesnt do us any harm in terms of development in a sporting sense or a promotional sense.

They are both so young, they have so much time to get over a loss. I suspect that Warren knows his most lucrative fighter of the two is Dubois, and he doesn't want to risk an L on his record.
