But all the die-hard, one-eyed patriot's who litter every nation kept up their stubborn rhetoric, backing Horn no matter what, the press treating him as a Cinderella man.

Now he has been exposed as a journeyman at best, he got his pay-day, so he should be happy as he's educated and can always find a job as a teacher.

The best outcome from this fight for the losing side is to seriously re-think the way boxing is managed in this country, Horn's name was hardly mentioned in the press anyway, more as an afterthought, which is counter to what is happening around the world which could be called a spluttering revival.

If the Brits can fill 80,000 seat stadia and produce great talent, then we ought to be able to here.

But no, for too long boxing has been interfered with, banning kids from boxing (for their safety) and little to no money being invested in real talent.

The model here is pad a record with thai boxers, then fluke a shot with a U.S champ, get your socks beaten off and that's it.
    Not going to happen

Boxing is a tiny niche sport here and Horn is a massive outlier as the vast majority of elite junior athletes are ****** into pathways programs of other sports by puberty

As such, the chances of us consistently producing world class boxers is virtually zero and a guy like Joshua would be more likely to play for the Broncos than be heavyweight champion

No surprises here. Now, let's see if Spence and/or Thurman accept the challenge, or come up with some excuses.

Bud had his chance to fight Spence or Thurman. He was the unified undisputed 140 lb champion. He choose to go the WBO route instead of the WBA, WBC, or IBF route which would've landed him a mandatory shot against Spence or Thurman.

Let's put this in perspective. Crawford did great against Horn, but in terms of who damaged who more? I think Pac stung Horn more.

And both Crawford and Pac stopped Horn on the 9th round if both fights was in Vegas the ref would have called Pac winner by TKO on that round.

Crawford didn't turn Horn into Quasimodo. A past prime Pac did. But that said, Crawford is still peaking. He is a scary dog.

Wasnt impressed. Think Spence mops the floor with Crawford. Horn had way more success than I expected him too, and if he either speed or power, let alone both, not to mention some stamina, it looked like Crawford would have needed one of those "Americans or Mexicans always get the benefit of the doubt in close decisions" judging decisions to escape with the belt.

What makes Crawford's win impressive is dominating Horn without receiving any damage. I'm sure plenty people can beat Horn but can they do it without receiving any damage whatsoever. Hit without getting hit the sweet science.

Crawford’s good, but I think everyone’s getting a little bit carried away. He’s not the second coming of Christ, he’s quick and clever counter puncher, but in comparison to say Pac or Mayweather, I’d say he’s going to struggle to carry the power through another weight class the way those guys did, Charlo or Hurd would be too big for him.

Having said that, he’s going to a be a problem for Thurman, Garcia and co, not sure he’d school Spence, can see a trilogy in that match up.
